Commented Oct 20, 2011 at 10:25:30 in Green

“There is nothing GREEN about this article. This man collected animals he had no business having and then he got arrested too often for gun possession, finally decides to kill himself, but let's all these animals loose first? I see no green at all here.....”

“It is time the wealthy do their part, it is time the GOP sees they can't have it both ways and the middle class and poor do not want to be gotten rid of either. If the rich don't start paying more taxes, there may be a revolt in this country.....”

BigDeadlift on Jun 7, 2011 at 11:16:49

“As a registered Democrat, who is beyond tired of the "crashing of our economy" I say vote for anyone who has never held office before. If we are going to crash it, let's do it right, with new ideas, not by refusing to even try. I am so very tired of the established politicians, and bringing in one outsider, even to the top office, just is not enough to make a difference. Obama or not, we need fresh blood in our government, from bottom to top. I live in Florida, what a mess. Nothing but crooks to vote for last election. I voted for my profile pic's sister Bertha.”

But without burning we would not be the race, the species we are today. Fire, and the dog, are what allowed us to get beyond the savanah, to do more than huddle together in the rain.

We need to realize that while we do a lot of burning, the earth never stopped evolving anyway. I experienced an earthquake,,,,,,in Maryland. It is considered a stable area. Well so much for that! It is getting active, there are plates under the mountains too.

No one, not one human, is ready for the earth to change the way it works, it has been pretty stable for a few thousand years.

420 Meaning: The True Story Of How April 20 Became 'Weed Day'

Commented Apr 20, 2010 at 10:19:44 in Politics

“Ok, then, when I was in high school, class ended at 3:20, should I celebrate that? I have been out of high school for 31 years now.

4:20, WHO CARES? I don't, I got better things to care about, like my son's art exhibit at school tonight, this is his last, he is now a senior.

At 4:20 today I will likely be walking dogs and picking up poop. The rest will happen as the day allows.”

JaxReader on Apr 20, 2010 at 11:17:41

“So then why did you click on the article initially, read it, and then feel the need to inform the world that you don't care about it because you have "better things to care about."?

It just seems peculiar..... unless someone is trying to make an alibi.... :) You sly fox, you!”

“It does not take beatings to make kids good. It takes being involved in what they are thinking. It takes caring what they are exposed to, but not sheltering, educating.

I am about done with the basics of educating two sons. One is now 19 the other 17. They wanted to beat each other up, I would not allow it. They wanted to do a lot of things. I explained why it was not a good idea.

Children are naturally violent, they are, without the benefit of our society, no capable of empathy. We teach empathy, and they become civilized, as we see it.

My sons are not perfect, but they are fine examples of what good kids can be. I am a proud mom.

I made sure they knew what pain was, so they would not inflict it. Not by causing them pain, but by letting them see the down side.”
