Gallup: 73 Percent Of Public Worried Afghan War Escalation Will Hurt Domestic Priorities

“Heads up folks, the real games over here:
"A small but significant number of observers consider the issues around which the newspaper discussions of the Iraq war revolve to be nothing but a screen that hides other causes fueling the present conflict -- causes that require some knowledge of economics to grasp. According to this view, a leading motive of the U.S. in the Iraq war -- perhaps the fundamental underlying motive, even more than the control of the oil itself -- is an attempt to preserve the U.S. dollar as the leading oil trading currency, on the view that the institution of petrodollars, as these have developed since the early 1970s, is fundamental to well-being of the U.S. economy.
A corollary of this view is that the real underlying antagonism in the conflict is not a military or geopolitical or national-security issue between the U.S. and Iraq, but rather an economic struggle between the U.S. and Europe.
Below are three such arguments and a link to a fourth. The first two pieces are by Canadians and the third is by an Australian. (Following these pieces is a link to a less expert analysis by an American who is a self-confessed novice in analyzing international affairs."

MakeLoveNotPorn is my secondary venture: you might be interested in main venture at www.ifwerantheworld.com (interim site, we launch in private beta in January).”

If people can do it from the safety of their homes, then why tyravel to a casino?
In either case, watch out, a few of the sites that allow real money transfer are also being caught giving "employed " players access to viewing the cards of their opponents.
Anybody who knows anything about computers knows just how easy that is to do.
Lesson: If money's involved, trust no one.”

“" Anybody who works in media knows that graphic designers and film editors and musicians have sworn by Macs for at least a decade"
Anybody who works in media knows that things change rapidly in those fields. The 90s have been over for a decade. Graphic designers and photographers surely can use more than 4gb of RAM (the physical limit of a 32-bit app.) That's why many of them bought PCs with Photoshop 4 CS x64, which is NOT available on the mac and it won't be until Adobe releases PS 5.
By the same token, classical and soundtrack composers who use a lot of hi-res orchestral samples can also greatly benefit from more than 4gb of RAM, which is why many of them are migrating to 64-bit DAWs. Again, only available to Windows users as of now.
Face it, Windows has been dealing with 64-bit computing since XP was first released (2001?) while it's still very much a novelty on the mac, Snow Leopard being the first OS that can handle it. No wonder 64-bit mac applications are rare to non-existent.”

Anybody with any curiosity and a modicum of web research skills can tell you that this is not about Bin Laden (170+ Billion and a thousand soldiers in exchange for capturing one man? Ha!), it's not about Al Quaeda because all current intelligence suggests that "there may be perhaps 100 Al Qaeda operatives in Afghanistan and another 300 in neighboring Pakistan" (Not to mention their rumored camps in Somalia, and cells World Wide), It's not about the Taliban (not only did they have nothing to do with 9/11, but their numbers have grown exponentially in response to American occupation of their home and the bombings of their fathers, brothers, sons, mothers, sisters, daughters, etc.).
So what is it we want from them?
