Finally, yes, it is the Sun, people. The Sun sends radiation in the form of heat to Earth; gases such as CO2, SF6, NO2, and methane absorb, trap and store this radiation. The amount of these gases has risen precipitously over the last 150 or so years. CO2 levels that were about 270 ppm in 1800 are now over 350 ppm. At the current rate of increase, the levels of CO2 alone will reach 700+ ppm in just under 50 years. This means your kids and grandkids will have a climate similar to the one that existed about 100 million years ago when the species were very different than the ones that exist today.

You not giving a damn about your own kids or anybody else's is of no concern to me. I am concerned about mine and will do what I can to ensure they have a shot at a decent life, if not there very survival.”
