“Love that wacky Palin stream of Krishna consciousness, my goodness, down-home common sense USA 9/11 patriots such as, like her, really get to the nitty-gritty of what this great country of ours, which all heartland folks in the real America, needs in these difficult times, of the lamestream media doesn't mind my saying so, pardon me, like what we in Alaska call good common moose sense, and judges who won't substitute cockamamie ivory tower egghead theories for our tried-and-true USA Constitution...”
“Suffice it to say this shows the need for stringent campaign finance and political advertising reform. We need to stop allowing pharmaceutical companies (notably) from buying and cowing politicians.”

“Nice sentiment, but with the nation divided & conquered, and the politicians bought & paid for, and the domestic military and para-military at their disposal, how you reckon to change the system?”

“You can stop them from buying and cowing politicians quite easily. Stop voting for them when they do awful things. Repeat as necessary. Yes, even if they're in your party.
Stop voting for the lesser of two evils, vote for someone good. Primaries are a great time, and third party options are viable...if you show up and vote.
The politicians' own self interest makes clear that they would like more than one term in elected office.
The campaign reform is you. It's me. It's the next person over. Don't rely on another law to be circumvented to "fix" things. Vote for better people, that's how you fix things.”

“It would be more comforting to imagine this is a simple case of political corruption. In fact it's the only leverage you have left to stop China from dominating the Pacific rim economies. And as with all the other band aids you have applied since your economic model failed, it's a temporary and ultimately destructive 'solution'.”
“I suggest he create a charity and pocket 2/3 of the donations whilst portraying himself as a saint. Conservatives love to do that sort of thing.”

“I think you should make this suggestion to Jesse Jackson Jr. Instead, once he gets out of prison, he'll run for office again and get elected again. Prison time is a resume' enhancer where he comes from.”
“If businesses get religious exemptions, will that mean they can refuse to serve customers of races the business owner doesn't wish to serve? Segregation used to be justified on the basis of Bible verses, so it's a valid question.”
