Turned out he brought the horse to Mexico and slaughtered him for horse meat which is a big industry in Mexico. Things could be worse. This is just outright cruelty but the US government routinely rounds up wild horses and believe me they don't find them homes!”

“Watch Gatica. It's a movie but genetic manipulation makes scientific sense. You do not agree because society is not chaotic enough yet. But look at the way things are going. Are we going to double in population again in the next 50 to 60 years? 14 billion? 15 billion? Let's see how that goes we will need our best to navigate it all.”

Gynn on Nov 4, 2013 at 09:28:22

“The solution to the problem will be more effective if we empower the people rather than create an ubermench who should be their king. Available birth control and abortion to all women has decreased the 1st worlds reproduction rate slightly less than 2 children per family. The ramifications of genetic manipulation are unknown, but it is not difficult to believe the first genetically designed humans would come with their share of bugs... (I.E. infertility, propensity toward mental defect)”

I have a great friend who's a brilliant musician --also 38 (Jason Ricci), who incorporates Walk on the Wild Side into his performances and does it almost as good as --the way Lou performed it. It's pure homage. Some younger people know everything about those who came before and your post triggered a reaction. I should have questioned you first. :) Most poets in fact have English Lit as a background--it's what triggers their romance with the language. His delivery, while laconic didn't hide the brilliant phrasing and painting of word pictures.”

He didn't aim for huge record sales--that wasn't his game, so likely why someone who grew up in the 80's is so clueless. Sorry, but that's the truth. IF you don't know 'Walk on the Wild Side' then your musical education is vastly incomplete. Fact.”

That's the game you chose and you can make millions and millions. Don't sell your soul to the Devil if you don't want to pay his price. The NFL today is going down the toilet because of this. “Playing the race card is cheap. He really does not substantiate his comments. I am an Independent but I wonder how anyone thinks Obama is a good president. We've been in a recession since before he came into office he sure did not do anything about that. Most people are in worse economic shape since he came into office not better. That does not mean Obama is solely responsible--it may be the times we live in. Obama has been bad enough that no one really has to be upset with him because he is part African American. It's his job performance plain and simple. Noth makes millions so he can think and feel Obama is just fine by him....lame.”

“Waving confederate flags in front of his house? Saying he was born in Kenya? Saying he is a secrete Islamist terrorist? Saying he is the food stamp POTUS? So much more. That may be a hint. Also he came into office EVERY aspect economy has gotten better. He didn't just come I to a recession but a crisis. We were losing almost a MILLION JOBS A MONTH! Stock market was HALF what it is now home values lost up to 60%! I bought my house right after the crash for 210,000 as a foreclosed home. Just sold it for 305,000. I made almost 100k. My portfolio has recovered and almost doubled under him. Your delusional.”

Sherman Wing on Oct 18, 2013 at 00:23:22

“Are you kidding? Since the day he's was inaugurated, republicans have done everything in their power to stop him. If the President was white, people might want to add his face to Mt. Rushmore, but he's black so he has to walk on water. Since he took office with the economy losing 850,000 A MONTH, He saved the economy, doubled the stock market, saved the auto industry, ended two wars, cut the deficit in half, gave the middle class a tax cut, passed the Affordable Care Act, killed Osama Bin Laden, crushed Al Qaeda just to name a few things. His predecessor "Kept us safe", Oh wait, he didn't do that, we got hit on 9-11, but this President kept us safe too. What's a brotha gotta do?”

ME61 on Oct 18, 2013 at 00:03:56

“It isn't cheap, it is true. Shortly following the election of President Obama, the GOP started sending obscene emails to each other containing racial jokes and/or cartoons. Republican leaders and conservative talk shows started using black epitaphs’ to mock the president. The hateful and racially charged language they use continue to date. The Ku Klux Klan proudly state that they have had an increase in membership for white supremacy since the election of President Obama. Then there were the birthers who insisted he wasn't an American citizen, he had to have been born in Africa. Republicans made every effort to suppress black people from voting. If succeeded, President Obama would have been a one term president and there would never be a black president again. The evidence is clear; our duly elected president was hit with objections over his racial heritage. For conservatives to say that their objections to our president has nothing to do with his black history is a lie.”

Darrin Bell on Oct 17, 2013 at 23:56:09

“What's truly cheap is playing the "race card" card to try and deny an obvious trend. The Tea Party earned the race card long ago, with their birther nonsense, their "watermelons on the White House lawn" emails, and a thousand other examples of xenophobia. Just last week they were waving the Confederate battle flag outside the White House and telling him to "put down the Koran." If you don't realize that you're not paying attention. And for that matter, you must have never read the comments section under pretty much any article the Drudge Report links to. Every time Drudge links to an article, you'll find hundreds of comments by Tea Party types filled with hatred, racial slurs about the President and his wife, and other sentiments that'll make you feel like you've gone back in time 100 years. Does this stuff represent all Tea Partiers? Of course not. But it's pervasive enough to say it's a serious problem in the Tea Party.”
