And it is not an attack on political opponents. It really is not casting aspersions and, I would be careful to say, it is not slandering the men and women in the CIA who carried out key programs to keep us safe and the people frankly right now at Guantanamo Bay who are guarding some of the worst terrorists. BUT RATHER it is necessary and right criticism of the policy makers at the very top who knowingly cultivated this and other criminal environments. I can't blame the CIA or the U.S. military for executing their orders from the commander-in-chief. They SHOULD be able to trust his word, especially on such important life and death matters. And besides... are they all supposed to resign en masse? what then? So I think that part of the speech represents something I hope the president hammering away at day and night and I think he should be even more forceful and specific about crimes that he knows have been committed by the previous administration.”
