“Don't worry. They'll all be hired as lobbyist to undo health care reform when they fail to get re elected. There are always jobs paid for by the big corporations and these are some of the biggest. There has to be some way to fight the corporations who have taken over our government. The more we move against them, the more they'll spend squashing us.”

“Oh gosh! What next? We teach our young men and women to go out and kill "the enemy." But we fail to teach them just who the enemy is. Well, folks, the enemy is us. As a nation we are too quick to blame the many for the few. So we try to fight 2 wars with too few soldiers, we let into our "volunteer" army anyone who wants in without checking to make sure they are mentally efficient enough to handle the hardships we put on them.

I discussed this with my daugher who happens to be an Air Force critical care nurse serving overseas, leaving her eleven year old daughter at home because this is her job. She says she signed on the dotted line. Is she right? is she wrong? I know she would rather be home with her daughter than caring for civilian children with their faces blown off. No, not American children, but children all the same.

We need to stand down. Bring our soldiers home. Protect our borders, We are not the Policemen for the world. Other countries will just have to work it out the way we did. I remember how we put a stop to WWII. Maybe it needs to be done again. Our American Eagle is crying for our people. NO MORE WAR! If our corporations want to fight, let them do the fighting, not the American soldier.”

“Sounds like Nebraska where I grew up. I went to school with Indians, I went to their homes and they came to mine. We had one black family who fit right in. I am a 64 year old while woman who not only voted for Obama, I also campaigned for him. I have been through many years and this is the worst I have ever seen. “Excellent article Mr. Stein. You have hit the nail on the head. We have had this for years. It makes so much more sense than making our children make the decisions when they are stressed to the max anyway.

I have not had a problem with my insurance company except pretty high co pays on tests and things but I cannot help but feel they do these for a reason. If you really don't need the test but merely want it and talk your doctor into it, it is up to you to ante up. Which, of course, we do.l

As far as death panels go, a previous poster said it best: The Republicants are the biggest death panel around. They don't care about constituents as we have seen, they care only about how much they get the health related donations. Our Senate is owned by the corporations that are ripping us off. It is time to term limits or to get interested enough to vote them out if don't represent us. We get what we deserve when we don't pay attention to what we are getting.

“Ben Nelson obviously does not pay for his own insurance. I wonder if he has ever paid. Over the past three years my insurance premium has gone up 30% and pays less than it ever has. I think he should go back to Nebraska and have some town meetings like Senator Bacchus did in Montana. He was in for a surprise when he found that most of his constituents want the option of public health care.

I no longer live in Nebraska but I remember my mother and father in law and what they went through trying to pay their premiums even after they retired. Ben Nelson should be ashamed of himself.”
