“Not only did I vote for him, I gave the maximum donation possible to his campaign and to the DNC, I had campaign signs in my yard in a republican neighborhood, I drove the elderly to the polls on voting day and I door knocked to get more Obama signs in my region.

I expected the president who said he would stand up to big pharma to actually do it. I expected the president who said he would pass real health care reform to actually do it. I expected the president who said he would get us out of Afghanistan and Iraq to actually do it. I expected the president who said he would hold those in the previous administration who committed crimes accountable to actually do it. I expected the president who said he would shut down Guantanamo to actually do it. I expected the president who said he was for GLBT rights and would rescind DADT to actually do it.

President Obama has done more work pandering to the Rethugs and the blue dogs than he has fulfilling any of his campaign promises. Sadly I was duped by a smart smooth talking politician, but it won't happen again.”

“Unfortunately, big pharma and the health insurance corporations have so corrupted government that any real reform that might hurt their bottom line is not going to happen. Nothing will really get fixed until we have real campaign reform so that huge multinational corporations can not spend hundreds of millions against any politician that stands up against them. They don't have to bribe politicians, they just have to let politicians know who is going to fund their opponents...that always gets them what they want.”

You backed off and were so desperate to get a bi-partisan health reform bill that you allowed yourself to be used and taken advantage of. The bill, as it stands, is a huge windfall for the insurance companies and an enormous loss to the American people. You remember the American people don't you Mr. President? They were they ones you made believe you were actually going to do something serious about health care reform. Instead you rolled up your sleeves and stood idly by while the Repubs played games and the blue dogs scored political points. Hell Bush could have stood by and done nothing of consequence without even batting an eyelash, he did it for 8 years. In the game of politics Mr. President, you got owned, and we got screwed.”

They are going to be forced to buy substandard insurance from companies who will still figure out ways to steal their money and provide zero services. The business model for the insurance companies has not changed; sell as many policies as possible, provide as few services as possible.”
