“Well as a boomer who was born in the late 40's and was busy taking to the streets in the 60's and 70's while those born in the 60's were getting their diapers changed by those Mom's who got their heads busted by the pigs in the parks and on the marches...just who do you think marched for human rights and the end to war? Those born in the 60's and 70's are the CEOs of today. We who marched for your rights are now waiting for medicare... we are the ones suffering with no healthcare. So buster..talking out of your hat does no good. Because us Boomers changed the world. We got the Voters act passed, viet nam ended...women's rights and people at the age of 18 to beable to vote. Me, I had to see my highschool chums coming back in body bags but could not vote. So think about what you are saying. Not politicallly active? Who walked with MLK? Who walked into billy clubs and dogs? Who followed the ways of Ghandi? If the young voted like you said there would not be such a big deal made about how the younger folks finally came out and voted in 08. Active? I am 61 and a roaring Lib...and there are millions just like me.”

“So what does that mean? You deserve it more than everyone else? I wasn't born in the 40's and 50's so I deserve to go bankrupt?
I'm sure you were when you were 30, but you sure no longer don't sound like a liberal. You sound like a typical republican who is just looking out for number 1.
My tax dollars should pay for the massive boomer population all turning 65 at once, all while getting the shaft by those same people for another 30 years just because you don't want to wait 5 more years? Right.”

“So waiting till more people are sicjk and in need of care will help it? Being 50 does not mean sick...you will get more folks contributing to medicare as healthy people and so paying to make medicare more solvent. Really people think..that is why you have a brain. The motre healthy people who are part of any healthcare plan the better. Why do you think the insurance companies knock people off? ..umm their plans that is.”

“Pointless? Really..tell that to a mom who had cancer and can not get needed coverage. Tell that to someone loseing their home because of an illness. A public Option is a way to lower costs but their are other ways to do that...but healthcare for all is a human right..and its time those who think only the rich can afford to live gets a comeuppance! What is your life worth to you? How about your child?”

“I WILL! I am 61, have no insurance and have to put healthcare on a credit card. How many will vote Dem? I always have..and give others the option to have decent healthcare with out a bankruptcy..they will too.
How many 55 or older have been holding their breath until they can get medicare? Millions? Give them healthcare and see what happens to the rolls of the Democratic party. I am healthy without any real healthcare problems. Cataracs is all. I will be paying not to have healthcare now...but as real insurance...an insurance I can afford.”

“Then you need an education...sure some are wealthy...so what? Pay attention to how thewy vote, not what their bank deposits are. Rockerfellow is from a REALLY rich family..but has worked all his life to help those less fortunate. JFK, FDR, were rich...but gave all they had to help others...JFK was murdered because of it.
Its those who are in congress long enough to know their business that we should keep. You think we would have equal rights, medicare, social security , the voteing act without those who were in office long enough to know what was needed and how to go about it? Or do you want someone like Joe the plumber? Or someone that will be elected inb nad stay long enough to get the swag they need to get power and sell themselves for it? Making 100,000 a year is not making any millionares...But those people who go in, make friends..and get out as lobbyist, they then make the money.
Think about how disgusted you would be if youre rep only got into to get out and make bucks? There are those who get into politics to help... you would throw those folks out with the creeps.”

“You make excellent points! But we have term limits already - the politicians are up every election. We have the power to vote out anyone we choose. If we like the job they are doing, we keep voting them back in. At least that's how it's supposed to work.
People used to be very involved and close to their local and state governments; we used to know our Senators and US Reps. Now we are concerned with Tiger Woods. People do not get informed or involved enough to realize what their Senator or Rep is doing for (or against) them, they don't vote, or they vote out of laziness for the same familiar name. Then we all sit back and gnash our teeth.
If we really paid enough attention and worked at learning and knowing and caring about politics (the art of governing society) then we'd know who was acting in our best interests and vote them in.
Term limits come naturally with an informed and active electorate.”

“Did you say that last year when Bush was doing it up big? Do you know that not one job was created in 97 and 08... that there was a loss of jobs? We have to have 195000 new jobs a month to keep up with jobs needed... well there has not been any. So when Georgie traveled to Texas or glittered up the WH... did you pay attention to the jobs then? Did you pay attention to the lack of the middle class getting ahead...or that the middle class was sliding to poverty?
Clinton gave us such a good buffer that it took time for the deep hole to be noticed. But then Bush was Re**pub**lican and they are supposewd to be good with finances. “So tell me what is a Christmas decoration? Stars? Stag horned deer? Snow flakes? bells?
You know on my Pagan Yule tree are Staghorned deer...stars, snow flakes, lots of bells, and the colors? Red and gold. Bayberry candles, apples and cinnamon, Acorns and Pine Cones...an oak log burning in the fire place...hot chocolate, mulled cider, cookies and shareing food and gifts with loved ones... those things are universal and belongs to no one sect or faith.
Can you ex[plain to me what is a Christmas decoration? The first "Christmas" decoration came from Germany, known there since Pagan days.”

“No in fact it was and is The Winter Soltice. We do not mind you all calling it Christmas, but don't push it. It is a sacred time for all faiths, the longest night becomes a slow lengthening of the day and back to summer.
So tell me, exactly where in the bible is the "Christmas" tree? So what is The Day of the Annointed One's Tree?
So no... you may call the tree what ever you choose..but remember you have stolen it and while we are gentle folk and we allow you all to think you own this time of the year...remember who you got it from and don't be forcing any one to bow their heads to your beliefs when they have their own.
And it is Sol Invictus! or Blessed Yule...or Happy Chanukkah, or Merry Christmas..or what ever anyone else celebrates at this time of the year... you do not own it, or the trees. God bless ye merry Pagan Folk...”

“No one (well, not me anyway) is arguing that these people should not be prosecuted.
Indeed they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law *for the crimes they actually committed* not the crimes that someone else could have theoretically committed given the opportunity.
To allege that they attempted to assassinate the President because they crashed a party is patently absurd.”

Why are people allowed off the streets to a state dinner where the President, his wife, the VP and his wife, their staff, congress people and the Indian Prime Minister and his wife and dignitaries are at...
If anyone wore an anti Bushg T Shirt they were arrested or kicked out of air ports...protestors were put in "free speach" zones...But this president who has 400% more death threats people are allowed to tote guns, threaten him, incite violence and be within a hands reach and it is allowed by the SS?
Can we ask for an investigation?”
