I also remember LBJ who took on the health care industry and got medicare passed after 35 years of trying. Unless Obama fires most of the crooked advisors and starts doing what he promoised I for one will be voting for an independent in the next election.

“Progressive environmentalist would not advocate drilling in ANWR. Rather they would be joining the Appollo Alliance and promote alternatives like compressed air vehicles (already available in India) all electric cars (you can even get an all electric Land Rover in England) for the average citizen. Here in MN their is a company that will convert a Prius to run on electricity only. Then their is the need for more light rail in larger communities like Minneapolis. The war economy is a major reason for the increase in gas prices with the decline of the dollar. Why not reduce the speed limit to 55 like we did in the 70's. Even the truck drivers have taken to driving slower to conserve fuel. The time is now and a real progressive environmentalist is proactive in alternative approaches to the current oil based vehicles.”
