Tea Party Patriots Send Rubber Chickens To Senators: 'Enough Is Enough'

“1. Regardless of whether they are on Medicare, if they had paid a whit's worth of attention to the ongoing healthcare debate, they would have realized that the proposed HALF-TRILLION in cuts relates to payments being made to insurance companies, not payments directly related to health care.

2. Their "deeply-held convictions" don't trump the informed opinions of the remaining sixty per cent of the citizenry.

I call them "tea-baggers" because that's how they describe themselves. The addition of ridiculous hats with taped-on teabags at their rallies simply underlines their ridiculous choice of name.”

“It sounds as if the President took him out to the woodshed and adjusted his attitude, though. It's not a good idea when involved in a "policing action" (yeah, you know it's a war, and I know it's a war, but no one in the power structure will acknowledge it's a war) to change horses, as it were, in midstream. Especially when the "policing" effort involves armies of other countries. Let's hope that the President ensures McChrystal's attitude adjustment by giving him Teh Boot of Unemployment the next time McC runs his mouth without permission.”

“No, it doesn't. As I said, Mr. Johnson and I will never share the same politics. Of course, being an optimistic individual, I sincerely hope that Mr. Johnson has begun a true reformation and someday will publicly acknowledge regret for his remarks about Muslims and Rachel Corrie. But (being pragmatic by nature) I'm not holding my breath waiting for that day. For now, I'm just glad he has turned his back on the yobbos and fringe/00nz. Perhaps a significant number of his erstwhile followers will continue to follow him right out of the pit.”

Like, you know, raking in the bux for H@//!burton, hand over fist.

“Well, if you truly believe that marriage between one man and one woman is a sacred institution, then you MUST ban divorce or annulment or separation, even. A couple once married are married forever, in the eyes of whichever deity you choose to worship. Premarital sex, adultery, and extramarital sex should be felonies, punishable by at least two years in a state prison. Perhaps even the death penalty. After all, if marriage is sacred, then to have sex outside of marriage is nothing but sacrilege. So, straight folks -- put your money where your mouths is. Let's see y'all sign up for the maximum penalty for those who would dishonour the sacred act of marriage between one man and one woman. Oh, and Mormons? Y'all get some serious jail time if you have more than one wife. Sorry, but we must defend the sanctity of marriage.
