“'Support the Occupy movement........so we can just sit around and get high while the stupid people with jobs go to work and keep the economy rolling!"
That's about right, isn't it?
Years and years down the line, when these "kids" have actually found real jobs, live in a real (not fold-up) house, and have children they need to support, they will shake their collective heads at the latest incarnations of their not-so-beloved-any-more "Occupy" movement, they will say "Wow......the older folks were right. We were the stupid ones."”
“Einstein.....you do realize that every time you get on a plane, you are entrusting the pilots with your life, correct?
You do understand that if so inclined, they could just fly that thing into the ground and kill everyone, and there's not a thing that can stop them, yet you're afraid they may have a gun in the cockpit so they can avoid the very same fate the OTHER pilots suffered on 9/11.

“You sound like a battered spouse or abused child. "Sure he beats me to within an inch of my life for no reason at all, but without him I'd be out on the streets with nothing, so I'm going to continue to put up with it."
“Leave it up to a Liberal. Don't profile terrorists and don't allow the pilots to have a gun.
You do realize that a pilot can crash the damn plane anytime he sees fit, don't you? You do realize that you're already entrusting this man with your very life, yet you are worried about HIM having a gun in the locked cockpit?
“For your information. most pilots come from the military. They know how to handle a firearm. This one bizarre incident aside, it is FAR safer having a gun in the locked cockpit with the people who are the last line of defense instead of having a gun in the open cabin where some gung-ho Air Marchall fires a few shots and blows out the plane's hydraulics. Not to mention the fact that Air Marshalls can easily be overpowered and disarmed.
Now you have a passenger with a gun and the pilots are at their mercy.
“There was a serious medical situation happening. He was incoherent in the cockpit and the first officer told him to go to the lavatory and splash water on his face. As soon as he left, the F.O. told the flight attendant to ask the deadheading pilot to assist in flying the aircraft.
They quickly locked the door once both "stable" pilots were in the cockpit. The F.O. did a great job of diffusing a potentially catastrophic situation.”

“Your comments are about the only responsible remarks made on this page. I can't believe people. This is not the time to joke around. Thanks for posting.”
“Exactly. The pageants themselves blatantly discriminate against naturally-born women who don't fit the mold of the "classic beauty".
This is a wasted fight that could have been fought with a better objective, such as being denied employment based on her status as transgender, or denied an apartment for the same reason. Make it a cause that will really help transgender people. This just makes her look shallow.”
“Bigotry: "stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own."
Not even close to being applicable in this case. No one is intolerant of Jenna or her lifestyle. As stated earlier, I am not African American simply because I decided a long time ago that I'm an African American in a Caucasian body. I can say it all I want, but that doesn't make it so.
You'd probably be one of the first in line protesting against me if I tried using my self-professed "racial reassignment" to apply for minority status and be eligible for affirmative action programs.”
She knew this was going to happen and she knew she would make the news because of it. She's fortunate the pageant doesn't sue her, because they would have a case, seeing as she lied on the initial application and the subsequent PR fallout has financially damaged the pageant.”

“Well I can't state as fact that she KNEW it would happen ... But she surely must have read the entrnt's reuirments application etc and come to know she wasn't meeting them and proceeded anyway ... Hence what I called/coined the term ... "Manufactured" Claim ... Like many religious acts being done when they KNOW from prior Supreme Court rulings what they do is NOT allowed by law, yet do it anyway and then cry = "claim" theft/supression of religious freedoms/rights and/or persecution. The claim is created and made = "manufactured" by the presenters/claimant ... NOT assiling religion here, just using as handiest example.”
“There's nothing wrong with the "new world". Having a "new world" does not afford someone the right to enter a gender-based competition under false pretenses or afford them the right to compete.
This is not a case of anyone hating Jenna or any other transgender, it's about learning to accept the natural shortcomings nature handed you and not try imposing them on other people just because you want to.
Now if Jenna would be denied employment, a loan, an apartment, then I would be screaming discrimination. Not being allowed to compete in a naturally-born females' beauty pageant is not discrimination. We all have genetic issues that preclude us from doing many things. However, we accept them and learn to live within those limitations, and don't expect everyone else to bend to our individual desires.
Jenna should not be afforded special rights specifically related to her identifying herself as a female. That's not fair to the other contestants.”

“I think the REAL worry here is that some he-man may be TRICKED into finding a man attractive, act on it, then find an "outie" rather than an "innie."”
WCWinner on Mar 27, 2012 at 09:06:47
“As I say, it's hard to get older people to change antiquated views.”
“And naturally-born women deserve the right to compete against other naturally-born women. Everyone having the same beginning (born a genetic female) ensures equality from the application process going forward.
If there is capitulation on this demarcation line, then now we open a Pandora's Box. Men who identify themselves as women can now compete in the Olympics, they can play in the WBA, Andre Agassi can come back as a female and compete against Serena Williams.
Tiger Woods can have his "junk" removed and start playing on the LPGA tour and get to hit from the forward tees.
Where do you draw the line? It can't be at how someone perceives themselves, because that is subjective. It has to be something definable and that is genetic DNA.”

“whats the matter three afraid she might win?”

“Andre Aggasi is now a woman? I missed that one! Wow!”
“It's not fair to allow her to compete. The rules specifically state "naturally-born female".
That is no accident, they added that condition to the application to prevent this very thing from happening. Why? Because now where is the line drawn?
Should any male, regardless of reassignment status, be allowed to compete if he sees himself a female? You cannot justify allowing Jenna to compete simply because she's "beautiful" and appears to be a woman and then turn around and reject the "Birdcage" Nathan Lane drag queen from participating if he identifies himself as a female.
The argument from Jenna's supporters state quite plainly that the plumbing doesn't matter, it's how the person perceives themselves.
There has to be a line of demarcation somewhere. It may as well be the genetic difference that separates males from females and that is DNA.
If not, then all bets are off and the door is now open for anyone.”
Megan Gottlieb on Apr 7, 2012 at 18:18:08
“Well, the door is now open. If it's about beauty, let's stick with beauty. The demarcation is gone. Just deal with it. :)”

“DNA criteria is DOA on arrival!
Society DOESN'T use DNA to determine sex for initial sex assignments at birth, and NEVER WILL! So it shouldn't be forced for that purpose later in life on any targeted group!
DNA testing was tried by the World Olympic Games Committee and FAILED! There are many gene variations and they have little consistancy as to who is a woman or not! Today they use OTHER CRITERIA and THEY ALLOW post-op trans-woman to compete the same as natal woman, once certain reasonable critieria are met!!
So DNA CRITERIA is only IN YOUR HEAD! But tell you what....you get a law passed that requires EVERY SINGLE WOMAN IN THE COUNTRY, including little girls and babies to take DNA and FORCE their gender identity and dress to be the same as their test, and the whole trans community will go along with it!
Go ahead ....try to make it a law....I dare you!!!
DNA ....is DOA!!”
