“He already is dangerous. There are many people who have died in his jail -- note, JAIL, not prison -- due to his denying them medical care, including things like, oh, insulin.”

“You mean, protecting his power base and his fiefdom and personal "police" state.

This man is corrupt, and we can only hope he will end up in prison one day. That would be his karma.”

“On the contrary, Arpaio and Thomas are the corrupt law enforcement officials.

When they say that no one is above the law, they mean no one except them, and by law they mean "their" law.”

Senators Should Visit a Free Health Care Clinic to Really See the America They Represent... and Deny

Commented Dec 11, 2009 at 21:18:54 in Politics

“No, no he's not "just" as responsible.

The GOP has a specific agenda to derail any legislation that will hinder the party coming back on 2010 or 2012.

The party is more important than either the United States as a country, or the people who make up the country.

A bill with get passed. It will not be a perfect bill, but it will be a better bill than not doing anything.

Which is exactly what McConnell et al want -- nothing.

So, really, Reid is not "just" as responsible.”

“Ed wrote: "Senators who put themselves ahead of the people and who have been spoiled by the Washington good life have lost their soul and what it means to be an American. We throw billions of dollars at wars, often without hesitation, but some in the Congress are willing to treat humans in their own country like a piece of machinery that can be left in a junk yard."

I do believe he's referring to my own Good Senator McConnell.”

Anthony Sturgeon replied on Dec 11, 2009 at 18:49:31

“If this bill was considered so important to the American people why didn't Harry Reid go with reconciliation?

He's just as responsible for the gutting of this bill..”

“I don't think you read that post properly. The poster was not dissing our men and women in uniform.

S/he was dissing the Republicans whose reply to what a working person can do to afford health care is to tell them to join the military and then they can get "free" health care.

And I see no where in the post where the poster implied that the military are "all Republicans."

Rather, s/he was stating that Republicans are the ones telling people to get covered, just join the military.

Maybe the advice to "chill" should go to the mirror first?”

You DO know that all of Obama's books have been fact-checked to Hades and back, right?

Do you think at the very minimum that CLINTON would not have gone over every word with a fine-tooth comb?

But the fact that you believe Ayers wrote any of it says a lot about what piece of furniture you are! LOL!”

The left is now worried about one news station? How sad. Is Obama a man or a wimp? Survey says....impotancy ensuing.”

“Hogwash. His comments weren't mere words. They were indicative of a mindset. That mindset reveals a serious fundamental gap in understanding not only health care as a whole, but what his constituents need.

It's as serious a mindset as another historical "they just don't get it" one:

The peasants have no bread?! Well, then, let them eat cake!”

sippewissett replied on Oct 08, 2009 at 14:55:04

“More than a mindset, LEGISLATION. I don't care what Kyl's mindset is if he were a private citizen, but he's in a position to make laws and send us back to the stone age, health care-wise and rights for women-wise.”
