“I'm Christian, and believe that ALL OF US are saved through the death and reserection of Christs. Even you Disciple1. Grace is a very hard concept for most Christians to understand, much less accept, but it is the cornerstone of Christ's love for ALL of human kind. This lack of understanding of grace is key to the success of the right wing "Christian" movement. Jesus said, "Love one another as you would love me". He called that the most important commandment. Fundies hate that, and tend to leave it out.”

“As someone who befitted from a strong vocal music program in my public school, I would first say that because much of the great classical works were sanctioned by the church, it is wrong to keep music students away from such Christmas works as The Messiah, various madrigals, and other sacred works, due to the fact that it's like teaching an organist and not exposing him to Bach. But it seems that the school has that covered. Our kids go to public school, and songs like Silent Night, Joy To The World, and We Three Kings, are sung along side Jingle Bells, Up On The Housetop, and All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth. Nobody has been injured so far, and smaller kids need familiar songs to learn the basics of vocal music. But be clear...The Teabaggers would not want Jingle Bells, etc. to be sung along side the sacred tunes. This is proof that while the "right" whines about "political correctness" by the left, what they really want is for what THEY think is correct to be the law.”
