“Hi Gangaji...I was a little taken aback with the words that you used...You said that you were raised in the south , so you were profoundly conditioned to be a racist....You made it sound like everyone that was raised in the south is a racist.......Maybe you should have not used the word "so" or maybe that is what you believe to be true.....I was raised in the south along with several million of other people and I am not a racist......I don't know any friends or family that is a racist.....When I see something that refers to people of the south as racist just because of were they live.....well it breaks my heart......There are good people in the south.....people that would do anything in this world to help you...I am so sorry that you were raised that way.....I cannot even imagine be raised that way and I am so glad that you turned out to be a good person......I am looking forward to reading the book..I hope my book club offers it so I can get a good price...Thanks..”

“Love your article....I have never tried meditation and am very interested in it...To the peice on Gangaji..when she said I was raised in the south so I was profoundly conditioned to be a racist...She makes it sound like everyone in the south are raised to be racist....I am so sorry that she was raised that way...I was very lucky to have parents who taught me otherwise...Not everyone in the south are that way...Maybe should could have chosen better words to explain that...anyway , thanks for a good read....I needed that today !!”

My parents didn't even know they were racist. To them it was simply the way life was. That's the nature of conditioning, very subtle. By allowing our thoughts to become quiet, we can discover what assumptions generate our views of reality. Conditioning is just thought believed to be truth. Sending you best wishes, gangaji”
