“Amen, Colorado Angry. The Right wing supports the troops by looking the other way. It isn't out of respect. These bozos usually LOVE road kill. Just look at the pictures and the headlines on the front pages of the rags they read and believe in.

If it weren't for the political capital that you or I might be able to make out of this photo, they'd be all over it. If it were a newly found shot of Mary Jo Kopechne's bloated body dredged up from Chappaquiddick, they'd be rushing to the newstand.”

“No you're not being dumb and thanks for you comment, which was a breath of fresh air. There's way too much of a lynch mob mentality about all this. It's going to hurt all of us going forward -- especially when It comes to stimulus programs.

The Republicans are setting us up on this, fomenting taxpayer anger simply to tarnish Obama's shine. And the Democrats are just trying to get out ahead of the Republicans. It's all a ridiculous show over chump change in the larger scheme of things -- politics as usual.”

Perino: Bush Deserves Credit For Recent Market Uptick

Commented Mar 16, 2009 at 19:22:50 in Politics

“Clinton has to share some blame for that recession, like it or not, but comparing that recession to this thing we're in now is apples and oranges. This is a worldwide financial meltdown, and it's far deeper than anything that happened in 2001. A zillion times deeper.

So the new game of bringing up this comparison all the time is just Republican down is upism. How come Bush didn't come to congress shitting his pants in 2001 the way he did this past Fall, with Paulson at his side explaining that the world financial markets were in danger of collapsing?

What lies these and halftruths these terrible people spew. How do they sleep at night? The country's in a critical state economically and all they care about is positioning themselves for 2010 and 2012. they don't try to help, they just posture and puff. I don't see how anybody with a whit or morality about them could watch their devisiveness and deviousness and not want to retch.”

“Cramer is a serious artiste. You think YOU could get up on a soundstage and put a rubber chicken in a blender to back up one of your "sell" recommendations? Do you think toilet flushing noises select themselves? Do you have any idea how many times he screams at himself in his dressing room mirror before every show, trying to get that deranged, wild look just right? And for all his hard work it's never quite good enough for his own exacting standards, the poor man. He is a tortured, tormented man.”

“No. Being stupid is bringing up your son and daughter in a way that makes them incapable of seeing the big lie that patriotic warmaking is in this country. War as we have known it in the past few decades has been a shell game that serves coroporate interests and makes money for companies like Halliburton and Brown & Root and very little beyond that. We haven't had an honorable war to fight since more than a half a century ago and anyone who brings her child up to not want to be cannon fodder is way smarter than you'll ever be.”

I understand that some people are just opposed to the military and refuse to even attempt to see others point of view. I have my stubborn issues also, so I get it. People like that are just a reminder to myself to always try to see the other side of an issue.

I am a mother, so I get the message of this video. But, I am also a vet and a military wife.

The fact is that there is no draft. This woman in the video is just being hysterical. The only politicians who have called for a return of the draft have been democrats. This video plays upon your fears and ignorance.”

What has surprised me the most - is that after all these many years in the political arena - hilary still really can not truly connect with people - the voters - not her elite crowd- the way one would have expected....

She now seems to hget by on people supporting because they think she deserves the presidency (God knows what that means) or that she is a fighter(donno when that tag became a qualification for CEO of the USA)...”

“The behavior of so-called feminists in the past few months has done more to reify negative stereotypes of women than anything I can think of in recent memory. The hyperemotional, sometimes utterly mindless, devotion of her female followers, searching for sexist innuendos under mushrooms and rocks, has been a sorry spectacle. It has set the woman's movement back ten years.”

“McCain is seriously courting the black vote right now because he senses HIllary Clinton may get her way, and when she does the black vote will exit the Democratic party. Without which, by the way, the Democratic party assuredly cannot win. Welcome to for more years of Republican rule. And this time it needs to be called twilight in America. Forget morning. We're headed for the dark.”

“Black people are not stupid, they are realists. They know the difference is domestic policies and the Republicans have nothing to offer, nothing for black people, nothing for women, nothing for families, education, health care and the list goes on and on.

McCain votes against the interests of veterans and women and the middle class as a whole and in your face thinks you are so stupid, you vote for him anyway.

Just remember Gore won , not Bush.”

mikekev58 replied on Apr 24, 2008 at 21:43:21

“It's hard for me to believe that if Hillary pulled out the nomination according to the rules set by the DNC, that African Americans would stay home any more than they stay home in most election years. I'm not saying the black vote isn't important, but until Barry came along blacks simply haven't been voting in numbers that proportionately represent the eligible voters in their community.
Give black people a little more credit than the implication that all they want is a black candidate.
That attitude borders on racism, but is definitely condescending toward black voters.”
