“The problem with these people is they think they're just talking about Mexicans, so that way they're not offending other Hispanics. The truth of the matter is Hispanics, while very quick to cite the differences between the nationalities, will rally together as one when one of our demographic is slighted against or targeted. Because we know very well bigots don't differentiate one Hispanic from another.”
“This is just more proof that next year every voter in every state needs to vote out any and all incumbents in the House and Senate. And between now and then that same amount of people, and then some, need to protest and demand term limits for House and Senate, fervently. That's liberals AND conservatives so then none of these politicians can play their game of "Pit ideologues against each other so nothing gets done".
Give them no excuses to hide behind to not make this happen!”

“You're joking, right? Exactly what we need... vote everyone out (on both sides of the aisle) who actually have EXPERIENCE in the job. Who do you think is going to run the show if everyone who knows anything about it is gone?
"Farmers in other states also are struggling with a labor shortage. A Georgia pilot program matching probationers with farmers needing harvesters had mixed results. Some Alabama farmers tried hiring American citizens after the state's new immigration law chased away migrant workers, but they said the new employees were often ready to call it a day by mid-afternoon. Many quit after a day or two."
Here's the REAL problem that's happening: People with advanced degrees who can't get entry level jobs in AND out of their field of study because people with more than 5 years experience were laid off and were so desperate for work they were willing to work entry level and take the pay cut. Meanwhile graduates as fall back on average as 2006 can't get entry level work so they apply at fast food/service based business but are deemed "overqualified" by their degrees and aren't hired.”
“I think the specification about "Special" implies the generation felt this way before the recession and its realities hit.
I mean I believed I was special in terms of talent, but at the same I was reminded that there was always someone better than me. Somethings came easier for me than others, but I sucked at math so my expectations were balanced.”
“The Personhood argument can't legally be proven if we're going by the bill that Akin and Ryan went in on. That bill (and movement) purposed that life begins at conception which, aside from having no scientific provability, is wholly a modern Christian belief (I say modern because St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine of Hippo believed a fetus was imbibed with a soul 40 weeks after conception). The keyword being Christian. Jews do not believe this (the opinion varies as to the time of ensoulment, though generally its believed to be at birth), and neither do Muslims (120 days after conception). So that bill was wholly unconstitutional since it basically meant privileging the beliefs of one religion over another, which is against the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.
Which means the only reason to even propose it was to make their pro-life voting demographic happy.”
“Heidi Klum is an obviously sexy woman, but every year for Halloween she actually gets CREATIVE! This year she was an actual monkey with expensive Hollywood make-up work done, and in Vegas she was dressed up as a skinless cadaver.
Her best outfit was when she was made into the Hindu goddess Kali. Not "Sexy" Kali with boobs mashed together but with the blue skin and goriness and insane multiple arms!
Creativity and effort always receives more acclaim than the pre-packaged slut outfits prowling around out there.”
