“Our friend Bill has been up on the mountain top with GHWB and has seen the promise land (world's largest group of investors the CG ) . GHWB has been involved with health care investment for decades along with food and water . If it wasn't for him all veterans would still have full benefits and the not for profit health care systems we had would still be there also . GHWB is the architect of the fiasco we now have with the health care problem and WJC has been under GHWB's wing since GHWB left office . WJC's terms in office were just extentions of GHWB programs . The less WJC is involved with anything having to do with any helpful programs the better . While HRC was campaigning and promising jobs WJC was lobbying for another free trade agreement to export more jobs . He is not a team player . Olbermann has been bringing attention to a kind hearted medical group that offers free help to needy Americans . Katrina gave us a demonstration of what GHWB thinks about helping Americans .”

“I am sure the President has wanted to correct what we all see as corporate greed but as things get worst (if that is possible) we look for someone to blame and he happens to be our target . The system has been fixed in favor of the Wall Street gang and to change it will take all of the people attacking the oppisition . During every campaign speech Senator Obama said the words "I can not do it alone . I will need your help" . Having been in Congress he knew what he was up against . Our government is the best government money can buy . Most members arrive with small wealth yet they all leave very rich and things are the way they are because that is the way Congress designed it and any changes will effect their way of life . One area that will have very little effect on their way of life is to force the big box retailers to open and use local bank accounts . This would put money in circulation in the areas where the big box retailers are located and help the local banks . Henry Ford once said "he paid his workers well so they could buy his cars" . I know the big box gang will not do the pay well part but they could at least put money in circulation in they communities .”

Commercial Real Estate Crisis: Was It Created By The Bailout?

Commented Nov 16, 2009 at 23:25:43 in Business

“Commercial Real Estate is real estate bought by or rented to commercial enterprises . With the escalation of the exportation of jobs from the U.S. and the growth of the big box stores commercial real estate has been on a down hill slide since early in the 2000's . The local banks have also been failing because the mom and pop stores are ran over by the big box strores putting people out of work which reduces the number of people putting money in local bank accounts . Small banks need input to survive just like any other business . Big box stores do not put money in local bank accounts . If they did things would be a lot different . While Congress is writing laws to protect their friends and family in the insurance and Pharmaceutical industries they have sat and watched as this catastrophe happen to the rest of America .”

Fannie and Freddie Fire Their Own Inspector General

Commented Nov 10, 2009 at 23:38:27 in Politics

“Early in 2008 President GWB stood before the microphones and cameras and told the world he was ordering Fannie and Freddie to guaranty loans for low income people so they could enjoy the American dream . Not long after that Wall Street started buying mortgages and marketing them as stock . When sales were doing well the G.S. of Wall Street began short selling the stock and had their activities insured by A.I.G. As every one knows , short selling causes prices to drop . When the bottom fell out those that did the deed controled the media and had a few of their cohorts imply that low income people (mainly minorities) caused the fiasco . But anyone with reason knows that low income people can not buy or short sell trillions of dollars of stock while hedging their bets by covering any losses with A.I.G. insurance . The U.S. government took over A.I.G. in 2008 because of the huge losses form insured hedge betting by the Wall Street banks . The small banks have been failing and will continue to fail because the jobs are gone and people can not put money in local bank accounts . Congress and the Fed silently watched this mess grow and probably profited from it .”

“Something the media is very quiet about is that the bailed out Wall Street gang is still working on how to export more American jobs . So we have a one step forward and two steps backward situation . Even graduating lawyers are finding things tough because Wall Sreet has exported many of the legal positions . We must do two things : #1. Use the stimulus money to bring back the not-for-profit health care facilities that RWR and his VP destroyed . This would fix the health care problem cost problem and get rid of the insurers while employing more Americans on non-exportable jobs . #2 . Have all laws concerning the public voted on by the public and not by Congress . Just imagine what number 2 will do to the lobbyist and the campaign money in Washington . This what is known as "taking back our country" .”

I personally think all lobbying is just pay to play and should be outlawed. It goes against common sense that anyone would vote against someone who is giving them millions of dollars. “We recently had several people demonstrating to "take back our country" . They may have something there . The way things are now the people have much less control over our government than the corporatist but if all of our laws were passed by referendum only just think of the cost savings and the difference it would make in our economy . First , the 50K+ lobbyist would be gone from Washington . Second , we'd get rid of the laws allowing and encouraging corporations to export our jobs to other cheap labor nations . Third , we'd abolish many of the perks members of government spend so LIBERALLY on for themselves . Fourth , since it's our money the present government is telling us we can not use for our own health care we'd expand the Veteran Administration's health care system to include all Americans , thereby getting rid of corporate insurance , Medicare , and Medicaid . And fifth , we'd make sure that no American is out of work by dividing the present jobs and the new jobs between all Americans . Our government created this unholy mess with starving and homeless adults and children and have no intention of fixing the problem because it would adversely affect their own pockets .”

The rest of us still surviving the economic crisis are opting out utilizing financial protest by not buying into the consumerism of the holidays. Basically, only purchase what we essentially need and leave the cheap Chinese crap on the shelves. Beforehand writing or calling congress, making it clear if they don’t start doing something proactive that we can see or approve of to help the plight of ordinary Americans over Wall Street or the Banking Industry then this country can look for other ways to make up for the GDP losses else where. Let congress get it from the banking industry or Wall Street through heavy taxation on bonuses. We have already begun our protesting.
