“It's offensive that tickets for a childrens event are "allocated" based on the sexual identity of a parent.
Perhaps next year tickets will be "allocated" by race, creed, income, and body mass index of a parent too.”

“If I'm not mistaken, tickets for these events (and not just the Easter egg roll) have always been "allocated" at least in part to social, civic, and non-profit organizations - and most of those organizations have a specific group that they are targeted to. This simply marks the first time that support groups specifically set up to assist GLBT parents have been included in such an allocation.
Saying that this move is allocating tickets based on the sexual identity of the parent is as ridiculous as saying that giving tickets to the Knights of Columbus is allocating tickets based on religion, or giving tickets to an AME Church is allocating tickets based on race.”

“And allocating the ticket to LGBT families was for diversity and integration. Segregating the tickets this way allow for a broader spectrum of families to be present. And that also means that the President welcomes and accepts LGBT families.
I see no negative spin on this article.”

“It is a family event, not a children's event. d*ck”
