Why Joe Biden Should Resign

“Arianna's position is visionary. Every post here seems to imply that letting things muddle along in Afghanistan is acceptable while Joe work's "within the system" to get new policy. Meanwhile we are hemmoraging money and Pakistan is falling further under the influence of Al Qaida.
Why is the anti war process in this country always about ending a bad war TEN YEARS LATER? It's time to act and keep Afghanistan from becoming America's Waterloo.”

“When I was a kid, I had measles and chicken pox. Whooping cough and diptheria are much worse illnesses and have fairly safe vaccines. Why are you grouping these four diseases together?
When do we stop adding new (highly profitable) vaccines to our childrens' vaccine schedule? There is no reason to vaccinate for chicken pox. It's absurd.
Wise up. Too many vaccines, too early is wrecking the natural development of childrens' immune systems. AND guess what? The immune system plays a crucial role in fighting cancer and other diseases later in life that are on the rise.
Enough of the ALL OR NOTHING debates.

"During 1990--1994, before implementation of the varicella vaccination program, an estimated 4 million cases, 11,000 hospitalizations, and 100 deaths were attributed to varicella disease each year in the US. The majority of persons who died of varicella during 1990--1994 were previously healthy."

“The chicken pox vaccine is not absurd. Prior to the existence of vaccinating, chicken pox (varicella) would kill approximately 100 otherwise healthy children each year. It would hospitalize and scar thousands. Just because a lot of children had milder cases does not make it a good disease. The possible risk of side effects of the varicella vaccine are minimal compared to the disease.
The same is true for measles, which was a very serious disease that would kill hundreds of children, even with the best medical care. So many people grew up thinking these diseases were a fact of life that they fail to realize the real pain, suffering, and even death that they caused.
Nobody is arguing that chicken pox is as bad as whooping cough. However, the varicella vaccine is still far and above preferable to the disease.”

“Jim Carrey is not against vaccines. He clearly states that some vaccines are needed. But too many is not a good thing. And there are more and more being recommended every decade. Do you really think Chicken Pox warrants a $120 vaccine for every child in America? Carrey believes that some vaccines are needed. Not just every one that big pharma brings down the pike. So, I would respectfully request that you not mis-represent Mr. Carrey's position.
Also, you say this: "Parents who take to heart the Carreys' ill-advised opinions risk not only the health and life of their own children but that of other kids theirs come in contact with."
I'm always amazed when I hear that. How can a fully vaccinated kid be at risk from contact with a child who is not? That is completely irrational.
If you want more info about spacing out vaccines and reducing the impact on an infant, go to AskDrSears .com and look at what he has to say on this issue.”

“JIM has said very clearly in his post that some vaccines are good and some are not so good. Why are lots of people here screaming about absolutes?
My son has not yet been vaccinated. He is going on four. Our decision to hold off on vaccinating him was based on the belief that infants need time to develop their own immune systems before taking on the severe challenge of processing vaccinations. Eventually, he will get the polio vaccine and a number of others that have long track records and the will protect him against serious illnesses.
There is ample evidence that drug companies care more about profits than they do about people. I also agree with Jim Carrey that the list of vaccines infants "need" is only going to grow. The interactions of all these shots can lead to immune system damage. So it only happens to one out of a hundred kids. Do you really want your kid to be in that 1%? Problems like Aspergers, ADD, ADHD are something to be very concerned about.
Most rational discussion about vaccines is centered around spacing out vaccines and not piling them on all at once or in multiple doses. And people should be wary of new vaccines being added to an infant's vaccination schedule.
Thanks Jim and Jenny, for risking your reputation and your future earning power by stepping into a public issue that you could just as easily leave alone.

Two: it dramatically increased my core body strength, (Pilates can do the same thing) and made me far more limber.
Aerobic exercise is important. But yoga is about breaking all of the bad habits you have formed over the years and returning your entire self to a state of flexibility and emotional relaxation. Stress kills. Yoga heals.

This will create change on many levels. We already know from recent polls the tide is turning in support of gay marriage. If we can engage and form human relationships it will further erode the bigotry on the right.
