Bush Booed At Inauguration (VIDEO)

Bush Booed At Inauguration (VIDEO)

“If cheering is a perfectly acceptable way of showing approval, then logically there must be a way of demonstrating disapproval. To say it's impolite to show disapproval by booing is absurd.

Any reasonable person should feel cheated. Bush and Cheney will live in luxury for the rest of their lives. We must deal with the wreckage. Many of us have lost our retirement savings. Many of us have lost our jobs. Some of us have lost family members who were killed thinking they were serving their country in Iraq.
Bush and Cheney will join an unrepentant Rumsfeld who merely floated out of Washington to live in high style and comfort in a gated community, surrounded by wealthy Republicans living a lavish lifestyle.

The rest of us suffer amidst the carnage. And it's impolite to boo? Preposterous.”

“Good thing she knows how to field dress a moose. She will be doing a lot of that after she is deposed as the governor of Alaska. I can see reporters knocking on her cabin door in Frostbite Falls, Alaska ten years from now do write one of those "Where is she now?" stories.”

“I will cast my vote for Obama/Biden on Nov 4 with pure revenge over the way Democrats have been stabbed by Palin and her ugly slurs. Retaliation will be sweet. For years, Republicans have called Democrats unpatriotic, godless, effete/elite, weak/wimpy and goodness knows what else. On Nov. 4, I will have my sole opportunity to strike back. Now what was that again about the Bradley effect?”

“Sarah Palin - the two-legged Comedy Writers Employment Machine - ought to be spending her time going just a tad deeper into root causes of the current economic crisis instead of spouting words of wisdom that, gosh, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac “were starting to really kind of rear the head of abuse.”
However, she shouldn't consult with John "Don't Know Much About Economics" McCain but should go right to the guy whose policies set the whole mess in motion, Alan Greenspan. Palin is really starting to annoy me. She keeps trying to wed Barack Obama with William Ayres (though she says she's against gay marriage), though they hardly know each other (talk about a shotgun wedding, so to speak). And she never once mentions the Wall Street bigshots who should go to jail for bringing our country to the brink of ruin. Sigh. Be sure to be with us for our next episode of "mooseansquirrel" entitled "Will Palin be Pallin' with Alan?" OR "Hail, Hail the Chain Gang's All Here." Did you know that William Conrad, was the announcer for The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show?”

“OK, I'll take the bait. I'll fast forward to 2012. And all I see is "where-is-she-now?" stories about the once Republican vice presidential candidate who lost the governorship of Alaska in 2010. Described as a fluke, an oddity and John McCain's 'gimmick,' reporters finally tracked her down in the deep woods in full camo, her rifle resting on arm. Perky and self-confident she tells reporters that she is not an aberration but is thinking of running for presidency of Alaska, once Todd - her likely VP candidate - succeeds in getting the state to secede from the union.”

“It's true: McCain is 72 years old - meaning he has orbited 72 times around the sun. He also has had skin cancer. All true. But there are hundreds of more substantive ways to question whether McCain is fit to lead a nation. So, in a way, I agree with Bill O'Reilly that there are many, many other reasons why McCain is one shaky dude and we should not attack his age, or his medical history. Remember "Tricky Dick" and "Slick Willie"? If this guy gets elected, he'll flop around like a dying fish on a dock.”

Did it come as a 'bolt out of the blue' as you were pondering what would happen if you raced so fast you caught up with a beam of light? By what neurochemical method were you able to string your 4 sentences together? Yes, let's stop the election and award the presidency to John McCain. Newports. Yes, Newports.”

“Remember Kenny Roger's old tune: "Coward of the County."?

Is somebody good out there who would improvise lyrics to McCain's new, updated version "Coward of the Country?"”

TocinoHumano replied on Sep 24, 2008 at 19:18:54

“Only trouble is, as I recall (I don't follow Kenny's music to closely, at least not since "What Condition My Condition Was In") the coward in that song turned out to be a hero. McCain has a reputation as a hero and he's looking more and more like a coward every day.”
