Redskins Name Change: D.C. Councilmember David Grosso Offers The 'Washington Redtails'

“Maybe instead of trying to find offensiviness in everything why not try to find something positive. I personally think it is a compliment showing pride in being an indian. Showing pride in choosing a name that represents a group of forgotten people. An original part of this nations history. Keep the name. Everyone trying to change it is offensive to me. If you don't like the name don't root for the Redskins. Find another team.”

“Why am i considered raciest and homophobic if i don't agre with homosexualty or think that a certain group of people are predominatley prone to hurting americans just for being americans. But we are suppossed to feel sympathy for those people and let them say and do whatever they want. Well maybe i feel that people are being heterophobic (i know not really a word but maybe it should be) towards me. where are my rights and sympathy. If i was protesting against homosexuatly i would be arrested but they can protest against heterosexuality. Not really fair.”

“Er...First of all they're not protesting against heterosexuality. Their protesting against discrimination against gay people. Secondly you can be against, sexuality all you like, as long as it's in your own head. Lastly, heterophobic is actually a word I suspect.”

LloydDrako on Apr 27, 2013 at 11:35:25

“Nonsense. You can protest against homosexuality any time you want. The Westboro Baptist Church does it all the time without getting arrested. It doesn't make them very popular, but they're allowed to do it.”

“You don't have a right to discriminate against others and I have no sympathy for those who are willfully ignorant.

When have LGBTQ* people ever seriously protested "against heterosexuality"? Cite your source.”

“Agree. Why is the gay community constantly trying to impose their views? Please be gay. I will respect you and include you. Now don't try to convince me to be like you or that being gay is the most natural thing on earth. It's funny how these people say they're fighting for tolerance and at the same time are one of the most intolerant groups out there.”

“I dont think anybody has ever been arrested, in this country, for protesting against homosexuality. Stop victimizing yourself and them crying about it.”

mngnman on Apr 25, 2013 at 15:51:06

“Why would you be arrested?”

lolly caust on Apr 25, 2013 at 15:22:30

“let's look at it this way.
if you were protesting against christians, would that make you anti-christian?

yes, right?

so if you are protesting against gay people, that makes you anti-gay.”

“"Why am i considered raciest and homophobic if i don't agre with homosexualty or think that a certain group of people are predominatley prone to hurting americans just for being americans."

Because you're a racist and a homophobe. You just answered your own question.”
