“Ryan is in no way a benefit to this country either. Other than his current job, the only thing he ever did for a living was to drive a wiener...
The guy obviously knows nothing whatsoever about economics, but thinks he's the foremost expert on it. He'd let the people of this nations starve to death on the street, while living in an ivory tower. Like little Teddy Cruz, he's got to go...”
“My wife and I spend all our time together.. The only time we're apart, is when I set up in the local artist's market selling the jewelry I make. The only reason that she isn't there with me, is that she needs to be home to get the kids off the bus, and take care of them.
If you find the RIGHT person, you don't need any others...”

“That is far too true... They support anything that gives more money to the obscenely wealthy, and stifles the rights of those that don't agree with them. while insuring that they have the power to stick their noses in everyones private lives at will, and cause trouble for you if they don't approve of it...”

“Exactly! What many don't realize is that "selective enforcement" of even unconstitutional laws can be used to make life hard on a target or targets until someone with the means and time is willing to pay to take the constitutionality of that law to court.
As I have pointed out before, citizens NEVER win when having to defend themselves in court, at best they just don't go to jail...unlike a state where the costs are extracted from the taxpayers, a private person isn't going to get his legal fees paid, his stress compensated for, his job he lost restored, or his lost income replaced.
Often a citizen "wins" but celebrates his "victory" bankrupt and out of work!”
“Except that none of the bankers, or their institutions really suffered for their bad choices, or their crooked restructuring of the loans, and so far have only gotten a slap on the hands for the illegal foreclosures that took the home from people through illegal and unethical practices.
There should be bankers in jail including the CEOs of BofA and Wells Fargo, for the illegal practices of their banks.
If corporations are going to be considered people, they should be just as likely to go to jail for their crimes as you or I would. As it stands now, they have all the rights and protections of people, but none of the responsibilities...”

“Exact same page brother. I have been in the mortgage industry on the front lines as an originator for 20 years. In the mid 90's the "job creators" conjured "stated income" loans. "how much do you make?..no..no..you make more than that, how about X?" I never played that game, but, we had reps from Well, Chase et al come in and coach us on how to get "approval." Directing us to lie to their own underwriters. I was flabbergasted. "this is going to blow up in someones face" I ventured. Then it got worse. Stated income, poor credit and btw, NO MONEY DOWN! Not to mention, loans structured so that after making ones payment you owed MORE then before the "payment." Righties pretend somehow the big bad guvmint FORCED our betters to make enormous profits on this tripe. Non-sense. They were then allowed to package and sell the risk, shorting their very own "products" and making a ki//ing on the way down as well on the taxpayers dime. I could go on...point being? These guys are untouchable as presently construed.
“I believe that the more accurate term would be "Vulture capitalists" although vultures at least tend to wait until what they're going to eat is dead, where as the vulture capitalists will kill the companies after getting massive loans, and pocket the money, while the employees suffer for the unethical behavior of the companies that bought their place of employment. These people are like the parasitic worms that people used to get, because they would feed off the victim until they eventually died...”
“Well, They haven't done any work so far this year, so do we expect them to do any before the holidays? This has been the least working House of representatives we've ever had, when they are there, they don't do a damn thing either. So far the two things they promised was to try to get Americans back to work, and to try to repeal the ACA. They haven't actually done either one, though they tried to repeal the ACA over forty time without success. They never even looked at any of the jobs bills that passed through those doors. they've probably got an inch of dust layered over them, from sitting so long...”
“And they wonder why people accuse them of being the "obstructionist" party. They only reason they're doing this is to prevent the problems that we're having in this nation from being solved during President Obama's term in office. They don't care that they're screwing over the American people by their game playing, or that they are likely to just plain destroy the foundations that this nation was based on.
The only legislation that they've been even attempting is to prevent certain groups that they don't like from having the same rights as the rest of the people in this nation. They haven't been willing to even try to pass any jobs bills, though there were quite a few that went into the House, never to be seen or heard from again. I'll point out that this is the same group of people that ran for office, promising to create jobs for the people, and haven't even attempted to follow through on those promises. They should all be thrown out of office, and never allowed to hold public office ever again.”
“forked like a yard rake... These "false prophets" should be driven from anywhere they are with a whip, much like Jesus did the money changers from the temple. “makes no sense to subsidize small farms or big farms. In the end, why should we use tax $ to underwrite a person's lifestyle choice. Under this approach, we would underwrite all sorts of uneconomic activities.”
“How do you figure? These people are obscenely wealthy, but still get subsidies from the taxes we all have to pay, while they avoid paying a fair amount of taxes, have big bank accounts in other countries. Plus they make a bunch of money from these farms.
For them to receive these subsidies, is an obscenity, and should be stopped immediately! The elected officials that support this travesty should be kick to the curb, and jailed on the corruption charges that they deserve...”
“Unfortunately, "Television Media" is owned by the big corporations, and so are the health insurance companies, and all the rest of the "health care industry". Therefore they only do stories that will benefit their corporations, and not necessarily the real news of what's going on in the world. We don't really have accurate news sources in the mainstream media any more, because it's all controlled by the corporations, much like certain parts of our government...”
“The NSA has been around for a very long time, and was mainstreamed by G.C. Bush. The give away's to the big banks were arranged while Bush was in office, and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were the biggest portion of the "out of control spending". I could point out to you that it's Bush and Chaney that are wanted as "war criminals" for their conduct relating to the same wars I mentioned before.
I'd say it's your turn to "get real" since half of the things you accused the president of, were committed by the guy in office before him.”

In addition to the over spending no one has ever devalued the Dollar like BO..We are not talking about Bush and Cheney war crimes we are dealing with present and that is BO's War Crimes. YOU GET REAL!!! Stop blaming the failures of your man on others...”
“If this is the case, I would have to think that your company is the exception rather than the majority. There have been some extremely severe spills from defective pipelines over the last several years, and this is a major problem, due to the damage it does to the soil and water in the area that the spill occurs. During the mid eighties I was the director of transportation for an industrial fuel oil company, and am aware of the toxicity level of the oil after it's been refined. I also know that in most cases, if it was heavier than a number two oil, it didn't at that time require that you even use a combustible placard, or a hazardous material placard on the trailer. The simple fact, and the point of this story, is that the people that are supposed to regulate these things, really aren't.
They are, however, being wined and dined at these conferences, and therefore, the performance of their job is compromised. They are being "inspired" to overlook things that would embarrass the oil companies, and are giving in to the pressure. This is a grave danger to the people of this nation, and others.”

“Yes, as I stated, I'm sure these big companies are shmoozing the regulatory commissions, however as I said, that doesn't change the fact that some companies are very concerned with the safety of the public. I'm a first responder in gas emergencies, and we spend hours upon hours in training to know what to look for, evacuation procedures, how to prevent damage, corrosion investigation etc etc. And that training is mandated and has to be current. I have to be retested on current procedures and keep my qualifications once year.
I am field audited regularly, and we have safety meetings once a week. I think that this article makes it seem as though these companies have no morals, and I'm living proof that they do care. I don't agree with ANYONE being bought and unfortunately it happens every day in politics and corporate companies. Just don't assume every utility is involved or corrupt. And definitely don't assume, they aren't concerned with safety.”
“I suspect that they only inspect if they get a report on a problem, which of course means that there is very little inspecting being done. The oil companies certainly aren't going to call their attention to problems, but instead will hide the problem to avoid the oversight that should be happening. Lets face it. None of the government agencies really do what they're supposed to.
I remember when the FDA wouldn't allow prescription medications on the market if the side effect were too severe. Now days they're allowed to market anything as long as they have the side effects mentioned during the TV commercials, that shouldn't be allowed either. If you'll notice, these side effects are usually read by someone who is either a professional auctioneer, or someone that has the type of voice that lulls you into a near state of catatonia, so that you won't pay attention to the side effects. Many of these drugs have side effects that include death, or cancer. and this is on such frivolous medications as the one that came out a couple of years ago to make your eyelashes grow better...
This is the kind of service we're getting from the government agencies that are supposed to protect us...”

“I believe regulations require inspection pigs to be run thru the lines at specific intervals. The data collected from the pigs is turned over to the government.
A job of the inspectors would be review the results on the inspection and if needed , require corrective action to be taken if they find a heavily corroded section of pipe.
To fix the pipe, you take two half section, clamp it over the pipe then weld it on. The pipeline can sit be running while you are fixing it.”

“Just stating the facts. They tried to repeal it over forty time sand failed. It's time to accept that it's the law, and stop hurting the American people over it.”

“I really think that it is the Obama administration that is hurting America. he's got an agenda and it's not a good one. honestly, he is hurting America big time. well, God tells me to pray for our leaders. no matter what happens, my trust and frame of reference has to do with Him and His Word. people make decisions but the consequences belong to God. I pray this country can make good decisions. I remember His words in the psalms..."..the heart of the king is in His hands.."”
“No, it isn't, since most of the ones you're talking about, really aren't paying any where near their share of taxes, producing any jobs, or really contributing anything positive to this nation. All they do is take, take, take...”
“Actually, this law was passed three years ago, was taken to the Supreme Court, who Okayed it, The Republican in the House tried to repeal it over forty times and failed, now they refuse to pass a budget unless they can kill it. The Republicans are acting like spoiled children, and are holding this nation hostage to try to remove a piece of legislation that the people want. the proof that they want this legislation, is the fact that President Obama was re-elected, while the candidate that promised to repeal the law, wasn't elected to office. The simple fact is that the people have spoken, and want the health care law.
The Republicans are the ones who are responsible for the shutdown, due to their unwillingness to accept that the people want this law!”
