A New Wrinkle in the JFK Assassination Story

Commented Oct 31, 2009 at 17:35:08 in Books

“The real TRUTH is that leaders of Nations have been assasinated for a long time. Tragic and sad. Julius Ceaser was murdered by people he knew. Richard III killed his way all the way to the top. "Now begins the winter of our discontent."”

Wisconsin Dave replied on Oct 31, 2009 at 18:08:27

surely this is in direct proportion to intelligence.

“All we can realistically do is work for candidates that we support and Vote. It's all we have. But if we do it with the other millions of voters who feel like we do then we may have a chance. The Internet has given us the ability to organize and show our power quickly. Hang tough brother. I am with you!”

“I certainly do not have THE Answer for the "Bomb Issue" but I just keep coming back to the same thing. It is what it is. The cats out of the bag. We started by throwing rocks at each other thousands of years ago and it has logically or illogically escalated from there. We are now where we are because WE, the Human race is the problem. We have to change US and I have no idea how that is going to happen. The only thing I can think of is that at some point the entire Human Race must come to understand that our survival depends upon or cooperation. We need to stop taking and start giving in a serious logical way. Prophets through time have been telling us this over and over. It's not just a pretty ideal. It's now a matter of our survival. Sometimes I think we are just a passing fancy and the Earth would be better off without us. Oh yes, and we must stop making babies. 6.5 Billion and counting!”

Waking Up To the Coming Battle Over the Census

Commented Sep 24, 2009 at 11:18:23 in Politics

“The Right Wing has long and shamelessly used fear to get what they want. Now they use murder. Wake up people. Take a guess of whom they are really after.”

Aaror replied on Sep 24, 2009 at 13:44:45

“They use murder stupidly.
Census workers (being human) often avoid unsafe areas, be then tenements filled with illegal aliens or KY backwaters filled with rednecks. Generally the population of those areas is made up by the worker, and is lower than an actual count would provide.
Scare away the Census workers, and you reduce the power of your vote, in favor of people more friendly to the Census.”

“Fremon: Good on you! And where was the "Conservative" mindset during the American Revolution? They were called Loyalists. They had no desire to fight the British. Meanwhile up in Boston, the people had had enough. You can draw a straight line from the Liberals of today to the Revolutionaries of 1776. Alexander Hamilton was a glaring exception. He did fight alongside George Washington but his philosophy was very suspicious of granting too much power to the people. He looked upon them with disdain. And he said "The people are like sheep and should be ruled with an iron fist." And he is looked upon as the Father of American Conservatism.”

“In the true spirit of those that started the American Revolution we are again called to throw off the chains of Tyranny that come this time from the Rich and Powerful. They use the old tactic of divide and conquer. Their co-conspiritors and lackeys are those in the media that perpetuate lies and hatred to divide us. All Americans was rise up against this. It is only our fault if we do not fight this. This is not a Liberal or Conservative issue. This is a very old story. Complacency and cynicism are our biggest threats. Just think what would have happened if the Founding Fathers had been too cool to care? The cynical are the Fools.”

The Sad, Shocking Truth About How Women Are Feeling

Commented Sep 18, 2009 at 17:47:02 in Living

“"Life, Liberty and the "pursuit" of happiness." Emphasis on the word "pursuit".

Women weren't happy before Liberation and they apparently aren't happy now. They were bored sittin around he house so they rightfully wanted to get more education, expand their minds and have a career. So they did and I say good for you. Women went to work in the factories during WWII and found out when the War was over that going back to cleaning and kids was a bore. I have no answers; just observations.”

chike replied on Sep 18, 2009 at 18:49:19

“Not every woman was bored sitting around the house. There are many women who would love to stay home and care for her family and children if given the chance. The fact that many people want to view caring for their kids as "a bore" is directly related to why so many children grow up feeling depressed, unloved, drop out of school. and entertain trouble at such a high rate.”

The Sad, Shocking Truth About How Women Are Feeling

Commented Sep 18, 2009 at 17:32:03 in Living

“It's a confusing time in which we live. We have well populated the world with our species so that function is finished. Perhaps now we can focus on living in harmony with each other and the environment. I am absolutely convinced that we can do this but evolution takes time. I am hopeful. Just tell the truth, try to be respectful of those you come into conflict with and smile even though you may not feel like it. The other person may not feel like it either. I am not naive but somethimes the simple things are the big things.”
