Sonia Pinto is currently Research Associate at a foreign affairs research institution in Washington D.C. She recently returned from working in Afghanistan for over a year. Based in Kabul, Sonia traveled to Balkh, Bamiyan and Herat. Her work ranged from monitoring and evaluating USAID stabilization projects to conducting research in the Afghan nutrition and media sectors. She has also lived in India, Iran, and Lebanon.
