I remember the Oprah show started out as a Jerry Springer type show, complete with guests attacking guests. Then she took a turn for the self righteous, (in my opinion) catering to well to do white women.
(book clubs-self improvemen­t, weight loss you get the picture) I know she has done a ton of good, but for the life of me I can not remember one instance because of the image I have in my head. It is an image I can never forget: The look of excitement and GLEE on her face as she watched one of her guests attack the other. THAT IS WHAT I REMEMBER ABOUT OPRAH.

It amazes me the way people see things so differentl­y. I don't care what she did the first few years-she has helped so many people. You can't change the beginning of your life, but you can change the ending-and she has. Americans seem to strive their entire lives for success-an­d belittle everyone who achieves it greatly.
