It is curious to me that more has not been made by the media and by Democrats, of the decision by the Special Counsel in the leak investigation, Patrick Fitzgerald, to convene a second Grand Jury in the probe. This seems to me to be a rather large step. Is it possible that , as the prosecutor has accumulated testimony, witnesses, evidence and other data, he is beginning to see that the "hit" on Ambassador Joe Wilson as much broader and more deliberate death squad-type mission than a few casual bits of leaked gossip by Mr. Libby. Since Mr. Fitzgerald has now exposed the involvement of Vice-President Dick Cheney and Karl Rove, as well as Libby -- and possibly the current National Security Advisor, Stephen Hadley -- in this affair, is it possible that he thinks the trail will ultimately now lead back to Donald Rumsfeld, Condi Rice and the big enchilada himself, George Bush? Just a thought....
