Stephen Traynor is a Toronto-based film producer. He joined The Film Farm as a producing partner in 2012 but has been working closely with The Film Farm line-producing the feature films Luck (Peter Wellington), Redacted (Brian De Palma), Adoration (Atom Egoyan), and Chloe (Atom Egoyan). A twenty-four year veteran in the film industry, other credits include the Academy Award-nominated Incendies (Denis Villleneuve) and Inch’Alla (Anais Barbeau-Lavalete) as well as two films for Deepa Mehta (Heaven on Earth and Midnight’s Children).

Along with Simone Urdl and Jennifer Weiss he produced The Captive directed by Atom Egoyan and starring Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman and Rosario Dawson. The Captive has been selected to screen in competition at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

Sorry for the delay in writing my final entry in my Cannes diary. It's been a whirlwind of activity since Saturday. We've shifted from competition-mode directly into market-mode, meeting with back-to-back meetings with sales agents, financiers and other potential co-producers for future projects.
