"Unplug and Recharge" is a new Living series which aims to give you, our dear readers, a quick break from your day -- whether you have as much time as ten minutes or as little as two. Following the success of our Oasis at the DNC, we're hoping to give you a little cyber-oasis -- a place to escape -- where you can take a moment to unplug, relax, and recharge.

This left a little to be desired. Check out these unbelievable collections of photographs from National Geographic...

Single-malt Scotch is just as relaxing.
I loved the eagle. (I am an eagle). Can you imagine being up that high and seeing the world, "from a distance......).
Thanks. I look forward to seeing more of this kind of "break". Then I will step away from the computer.
thanks
At first it wasn't soothing me at all but all of a sudden I came to the picture of the lake and mountains and my shoulders relaxed. I didn't even realize that I was tense. I'm checking out every one of these I see!
I actually kind of enjoy these little things... certainly as a blip out of reading the back and forth of politics. It's a sort of attempt at lowering your blood pressure when you read the latest stupidities or injustices. (it's actually quite soothing after watching the Sarah Palin interview with the turkey slaughter in the background...)
It's not a bad idea, but your little multimedia presentation is not particularly well executed. Perhaps a better way to "Unplug and Recharge" would be to really unplug and recharge by stepping away from the computer, closing your eyes and simply relaxing. Try it. It works.
