"Unplug and Recharge" is a new Living series which aims to give you, our dear readers, a quick break from your day -- whether you have as much time as ten minutes or as little as two. Following the success of our Oasis at the DNC, we're hoping to give you a little cyber-oasis -- a place to escape -- where you can take a moment to unplug, relax, and recharge.
In today's installment, we bring to you a soothing slideshow, acompanied by a calming song by accomplished musician and sought-after health practitioner Steve Chopyak. So sit back, press play, and prepare to be swept away.

Slides of pristine natural landscapes...those things that we retreat to when the rest seems to steal our peace of mind. Environmentalists have been dismissed for a long time, and while our interests are gaining traction via the national security connection, we should still push to convey the spiritual importance of a healthy environment. It's not soft, it's not weak. It's we, as humans, admitting that we come from something that looks just a bit different from modern life.
Need to automate the slide show. Link it & synchronize it to the music.
I'm just nuts about this idea!
Although I feel the length of the song and slideshow are waaaaay too short, I will continue to be a loyal participant. Thanks so much for coming up with this sweet idea.
That was depressing, like funeral music for the bit of money we were putting away for a lttle piece of land, maybe a little waterfront and a modest cabin, for when we retire. Guess we need to stay here anyway so the kids and their families can live in the basement for the next 10-20 years....
you were supposed to find the "joy" in the song/slideshow...... but i'm guessing from your name which i'm just now noticing that you don't find the joy in any situation too often? Well, i guess nowadays its pretty hard to...
I enjoyed. You should do more of these. This is a great mental break when stress levels at work are high. Thanks Huff!
i liked both, I need this more than ever
Nice images, cheesy music (kind of George Winston-y treacle). How about some Pink Floyd instead?
