A few years ago, Steve Marmel was one of a handful of "conservative" stand-up comedians. He had his own HBO special, a "Comedy Central Presents," as well as multiple appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." However, somewhere around 2005, his personal politics no longer matched his right-of-center material... so he took a break.

Steve Marmel is not selling a book, not promoting a TV special, not appearing on a news roundtable, nor is he a recurring guest on Oprah. However, he has done a lot of stuff (you can IMDB it if you're really curious), and is currently an Executive Producer on Disney Channel's "Sonny with a Chance."

He really hates writing about himself in the third person.

You can spam him with Nigerian internet fraud at Marmel.com.

If Carrie Prejean Can't Handle Larry King, it's Time to Start Debating Toddlers

It seems to me that Carrie Prejean is still living in a world where her looks are powerful enough to help her dodge real questions and be treated like a real pundit.  No disrespect meant, my dimwitted stereotype of a blonde, but your days of manipulating men to do what...

So, Carrie Prejean is having a bit of week, isn't she?

I mean, one week you're the darling of the conservative movement, and the next thing you know, you're being called a hypocrite as your image as a high-falutin' blonde ball of judgment stops meshing with the low-falutin'...

Hi.  Welcome to my first blog on HuffPost.

Me?  I started as a journalist, morphed into a stand up comedian with a right-wing POV, and then - when my politics changed in 2005 - took a long (and currently continuing) break from comedy.  (There's a bio in here for...
