The Magic of Christmas

Posted: 12/25/11 01:20 PM ET

You are the light of the world, not the power supply; the building, not the builder; the dance, not the dancer; the song, not the singer; the loved, not the lover.

Know this, and you are free to shine, instead of show; to create, instead of labor; to dance, sing and play, instead of auditioning, performing or trying to please; free to love, rather than seeking to be loved.

What freedom there is in just being, instead of always doing! This is the real meaning of Christmas. Jesus appeared for a brief few years and what did he do?

He beamed!
He danced!
He sang and played!
He healed!
He lived and so loved!

If this Christmas and new year, you will think as he thought, live as he lived; sing and play as he did, and so love as he loved, the magic that is Christmas will occur all over again. What was born in Bethlehem will be birthed in you and the world will never be quite the same.

And neither will you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Moment -- beginning with this one.

Now, and throughout the year.
