(SYOP 11/6/08) It didn't take long for President-elect Barack Obama to put his change style into effect, primarily to reverse the country's economic free-fall.
In a drastic new measure he says will close the multi-trillion dollar gap in the country's budget, Obama announced plans to replace the country's present economic structure with what he's calling a Green Stamps commerce system.
"It was actually rather pragmatic," said Obama transition chief, John Podesta. "Most everything else is growing exceedingly fast - education costs, defense spending, congressional earmarks, even the deficit. It's only the economy that has declined."
To fill the void created by the deletion of the lackluster economy President-elect Obama will be replacing the monetary system with Green Stamps.
"When we pay our taxes, we'd get Green Stamps back based on how much we paid in," said President-elect Obama. "With those stamps we get to buy READ THE REST OF THE ECONOMY SAVING PLAN RIGHT HERE.

Seriously, HuffPost needs to do a much better job of distinguishing satire from the rest of the site. I love reading it, but its annoying to be momentarily confused by satire when you thinks its real news.

My mother always used green stamps. I still remember looking through the stamp book dreaming about what we were going to "buy".
I like the part about poor people not being embarrassed because rich people would have to use them too.
