Steven Biel is the director of SignOn.org, the progressive, nonprofit petition site sponsored by MoveOn Civic Action. Prior to joining MoveOn.org in 2009, he was Global Warming Campaign Director at Greenpeace USA and field director for Environment America and U.S. PIRG. Steven graduated in 1997 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with degrees in English and Education. Steven lives in Portland, Maine, with his wife Emily and daughters Bella and Harper.
