It makes perfect sense that the party of "No!", the party that embraces fairy tale creation myths, the party that bullies, provokes and lies, the party that has no idea that they themselves will eventually get old, the party that is disdainful of women, the party that fears the poor and The Others, the party that puts all its stock in old white men who love guns and jets, the party that hates arts education, the party that fears sex---
it makes perfect sense that that party is now sitting on the floor and holding its breath until the country turns blue.
Because if one looks at the total output of the Republicans' behavior in the last 10 years, it is the behavior of a spoiled baby.
And waaahhh! Baby's angry!
Baby wants its way!
Baby's scared of the Boogie Man in the White House!
Baby's gotta scare people!
Baby's gotta threaten them!
Baby's gotta get his way regardless of the consequences!
Baby can't take it anymore!
So baby goes "Waaahhh!"
Baby Boehner and Baby Bachmann, Baby Newt and Baby Canter; Baby Sarah and Baby Mike, Baby Bill and Baby Rush; and into the brood swaggers Toddler Trump, with a sour-puss and pockets full with sticky, sweet candy. "He's not from here!" says the kid, dutifully repeating something someone told him. And the babies get all worried again. And they go:
"Waaahhh!"
Baby needs to grow up, see the world, read up on history, meet real people and get smart. And then maybe baby can understand what being American is all about. Until then:
"Waaahhh! Waaahhh! Waaahhh!"

This is just my opinion: I'm a centrist

Centrism is a logical fallacy known as The Golden Mean Fallacy, Middle Ground Fallacy, and Fallacy of Moderation.

Republicans want less government so that people are free to do what they will but have to face consequences.
----
This is the libertarian “let the buyer beware” argument. Well guess what? As tax payers, we are the buyers. The government buys things on our behalf and with our money. And less government means less government regulation. What happens when we have less regulation, when no one is watching the store? We get ripped off:

And when honest people tried to bring this to the attention of President Bush’s executive branch, they were punished:

You’re making a soft-on-crime argument so “people are free to do what they will” and engage in fraud and corruption.

- not really
As a tourist, you could lie to these robots one day, change your mind and say the complete opposite to them the next day. What would it matter? If they call you out on it, accuse them of attacking your right to freedom of speech. And imagine if these robots started to demand that you, a real human being, actually pay taxes in Westworld to help them in their maintenance. That would seem absurd. After all, they aren’t your robots, you don’t own them. Or what if they wanted to sit down with you and negotiate some type of agreement. Why take their thoughts, concerns and feelings seriously? It would be silly to negotiate with these things. In Westworld, you know you are not responsible to anyone or for anything.
This is how THOSE WITHOUT CONSCIENCES see the real world. The world is their oyster, their playground to do with it what they will:
1) Like an infant, the world outside their immediate sphere does not exist.
2) Like an infant, all that matters is what they want or need at any given moment.
3) People are not real.
We are the robots in their Westworld.

It makes perfect sense that the party that embraces fairy tale myths to justify leaving trillions of dollars of debt to our children just to win the political game, the party that has no idea that the Tea Party members were elected to clean the mess up that both parties helped create, the party that practices situational sexism, the party that fears ordinary Americans when they don't think like they do, the party that puts all its stock in big labor, that put 5 trillion dollars onto the national debt under Pelosi/Reid's leadership in Congress---
It makes perfect sense that that party sat on the floor, made up lies about a citizen's group to justify leaving our children the gift of 15 trillion dollars of debt and held its breath trying to turn the country blue.
Because if one looks at the total output of the Democrats' behavior in the last 10 years, well, it's not any better than the Republicans.
Meanwhile, as both parties continue their steel cage deathmatch, middle America/working poor continue to drown in an ocean of stagnant wages and rising cost of living. It would be nice if BOTH parties put all Americans first instead of their special interest groups and actually did something about it.
But, middle America/working poor don't contribute big bucks to political campaigns, don't they?
And it's sooooo much easier for partisans on both sides to make cartoonish caricatures of the opposition so they can win. #WINNING!
April 8, 2011 (CHICAGO) -- Our brains may determine if we are left handed or right handed but what if we are left-wing or right-wing?
http://bit.ly/hwTkqY
A study in the journal Current Biology finds opposing political views may be linked to differences in brain structures.
Brain scans were done on students who revealed their political views beforehand.
The "liberal" students tended to have a larger region of the brain that processes conflicting information that may make for tolerance to uncertainty.
The "conservatives" tended to have a larger part of the brain that process fear, making them better able to identify threats.
What is not clear is whether political preferences and other personality traits influences brain structure or vice versa.
