The High Calling of a Low Brow

He we go again.

Knowing that you can fool some of the people all of the time, Sarah Palin is clubbing American politainment (New Coinable Phrase Alert) like it was a baby seal.

Without a team of Machiavellian neocons to pull her strings, The Vanilla Guerrilla from Wasilla is a marionette without a master, making a bold, maverick move and stiffing her constituents, sparing them the expense of having an elected leader and demonstrating the efficacy of smaller government.

Gosh, she's purty and, I dare say, strikingly similar to another recently unassed Republican ex-white hope, George W. Bush. She's got about the same I.Q. as W, though not the pedigree. She's got the same vague ambition but no compass. She's got legs and she knows how to use them (whereas W, in his flight suit, had crotch. Nocturnal emission accomplished!). It's possible she's even more devolved than W, which is saying a lot. Boiled down to the tar, she's all dimple and no depth.

She's Darwins Darlin', proving that on her private Galapagos it is survival of the prettiest.

Given how low the bar has been set by her party's compadres, this two-dimensional pop culture warritrix certainly can do what she wants---badly, of course, but that's not the point. When you live in a labelocracy you can call yourself anything and if you have enough sloe-eyed bucktooth cork-brains who pop wood whenever this particular milf in mukluks winks at them then, gosh darn it you're a winner! If Sarah insists she's a political superstar who represents some vague Christian morality and personifies the myth of American white bread normalcy, yet is still incapable of delivering anything but half-baked bromides and useless legislation, then by Republican standards she is the leader in 2012.

Forget that she's as qualified to run a government as a year old box of raisins.

Forget that she telegraphs her ignorance every time she opens her pie hole and oozes rote generalities.

And by all means forget the sketchy goings on within her own family circle and soon-to-be-forsaken administration. Just remember her inane assertions that she cares about her country and then ask yourself: if she cares so much, where's she goin'?  

For too long we've been subjected to the whims of the booboisie and its corrupt representations, determined to build a world reflecting their boneheaded and backward-marching theories on life and liberty. For Sarah Palin, that world is her oyster. And what's a gal like Sarah to do when she's got oysters? Shuck 'em all!

Great observations, Steven! I think that we are all trying to find logic in the illogical here. Rabid Palin worshippers don't care about logic, though, they see her as their shining beacon in the darkness who is more than capable of leading this country to (imagined) glory. Explain to them she is unqualified to be POTUS, they'll say we have a community organizer (with a socialist, Acorn agenda) in the White House. Point out the hate rallies she smugly presided over (replete with shouts of 'kill him' and 'terrorist'), they will say that poor Sarah isn't responsible for what a few people in a crowd of thousands say. In other words, their beloved Mooseiah can do no wrong. This time the spin cycle will be on hyper speed. They will never see her resignation as 'quitting' she is simply taking her fight for rightness straight to the people of 'real America.' The only title that she needs (or deserves) in their minds is President. Let's hope there is enough rational 'real' Americans around to see that never happens.

I think this past election rotation should point out something very interesting. The people in Alaska are freaking down to the ground nuts! Not the average working slob, but the ones who eat drink and truely believe that Alaske is special junk. Alaska is no more special than Kansas, Utah, or New York. Just another state, but don't tell them that. They think they are somehow going to show the rest of the country the "right" way to govern. Sarah the Barracuda is really Sarah the guppy.

Alaska is not just another state; Alaska is the state that should not have been considered as such to begin with. It is simply a large wilderness with a very small population, much of which is transient.­I do not know today's figures but, in the past, the male to female ratio was grossly out of sync. Not what one would call, in the most literal sense, a viable community. I might add that I spent a year there as a young soldier.

Just as bizarre as Sarah's abrupt resignation are all of the Republican "pundit" on all of the Sunday talking-head shows today. I CANNOT believe the BS I've heard from all of the "intellectual wing of the GOP", as they have attempted to try to spin Sarah's sudden, irratic and unstable actions by her sudden resigning from an ELECTED governor position halfway through the term.... as if it was some kind of ACCEPTABLE intelligent tactic. Just unbelievable.

This "intellectual wing of the GOP" are the same ones who would want us to trust their judgement in ruining... err....run­ning this country again. They obviously think that we're d.i.m enough to swallow this hoakum, hook line and sinker, as if anyone with a brain doesn't know that if you walk away from a position, you can't possibly expect someone to trust you with another higher position..­. Period. Sarah just killed any possible chance she would have on the national stage. Pure and simple.

The "intellectual pundit wing of the GOP" should have been honest, and called what Sarah did like the rest of us already see it. The ONLY thing that Sarah's bizarre and sudden resignation accomplished, (because she's made a mess of things and can't take the pressure) is to show us that she is easily UNHINGED, AND IS UNSUITABLE FOR A-N-Y NATIONAL OFFICE.... and that includes the "physical fitness czar" position that she was apparently seeking through the press from Pres. Obama last week.

The one thing that struck the most on her resignation speech besides the "point guard" analogy (forgetting that a good point guard doesn't quit in the middle of the game to get a better contract in 3 years) is the following:

"I gathered my family (she never misses a chance to somehow throw her family into a speech to get the "family value" vote) and asked what do you think? I got four yes's and .... hell yeahhhhh!!!! Wow so nice .. Is this really how she operates? Her decisions (this one being maybe the toughest) are made by 14 and 7 years-old? What if 4 said No and one Hell Nooo?

If it'this is true. That's not good. If she just lied to falsly paint a picture of a family woman, that's not good either.. Could somebody press her on this detail

Wow dude, that was harsh; it was also spot-on. It will be interesting a year down the road when party pols start really jockeying for position. Palin to campaign for GOP hopefuls? They'll be running away from her like she swam in a sewer. The only folks who will take her endorsement are those who swim in the same sewer, as identified by their constituents. Those supported by the simple-minded, uneducated electorate that associate patriotism with divisiveness, hate and fear. They can have her.

Personally, I think the chick smells money, and is determined to continue to mine her 15 minutes of infamy. What other VP candidate has gotten this much press after the election that they lost handily? Ferraro didn't make headlines again until her comments about Obama during the primary. How long after her moment was that, like 25 years? Now the whole country should realize: Sarah Palin is an empty suit.
