Susan Savage started off as a chemistry and political science major at the Univ. of Michigan, hailing from a family of Civil Engineers in Ohio, becoming an actress was not considered a serious career choice. But after she won 9 full scholarships to Grad school at the National ERTA competition, her career choice was suddenly given... more serious consideration. She flew to California to pursue her MFA in Acting at Cal Arts. (Don Cheadle was a classmate.) While on summer break, waitressing in LA, she auditioned for her first television show, "Highway to Heaven," got the lead role, and hasn’t stopped working since. A smattering of her TV/Film appearances (as she always being told ‘this is not a theatre town!’) includes guest stars on "Cold Case," "Windfall," "Lucky," "Carnivale," "Seventh Heaven," "Judging Amy," "Star Trek," "Boston Public," "Once and Again," several episodes of Kelsey Grammer’s/ the Cullen Brothers’ animated series, "Gary the Rat," and the original pilot of
Ed Zwick/Marshall Hershovitz’s highly anticipated webisodic series, "quarterlife" @ MySpaceTV.com; film highlights include: Lisa Cholodenko’s "Partnership,' Steven Spielberg’s "Taken," "The Traveling Companion" opposite Kristin Davis, Chazz Palminteri’s "Women vs. Men" (also produced by Ed Zwick and Marshall Hershovitz, we love Marshall and Ed!*), and most recently, "Alternate Endings" opposite Grace Zabriskie. Susan begins shooting the independent feature, "Red Canvas" next week, and currently, she and Morgan Freeman can be heard together on the nationwide campaign to "Save Darfur." www.savedarfur.org.
