Susannah is a 16-year-old sophomore from the Hewitt School in New York City. As a founding member of her school's student service board, Susannah is very passionate about service and devotes much of her time to it. She is very involved in the UN Foundation, Girl Up, and works to help empower women in general. As a young service leader, she works with generationOn to help promote youth service and has also helped to initiate a generationOn Service Leaders Committee. She is an important part of her school's ACTION (Awareness, Community, Tolerance, Inclusion, Opportunity, Now) Club, Finance Club, Women's Health Awareness Club, 10th grade handbells ensemble, and her school's newspaper, The Hewitt Times, as an editor. Recognized for her academic talent through a High Honors award from the Johns Hopkins CTY program, Susannah also devotes much of her time to her studies and academics. Some of her interests include science, ethics, technology, math, women's rights, and writing. Additionally, she is a part of her school's winter conditioning program as well as a rower for their crew team. Any other free time she has is spent volunteering at Lenox Hill Hospital or with local senior citizens.
