The public has every right to know the quality of its water and every right to fully understand the risks and benefits of modern agriculture. Do agriculture's benefits outweigh the public right to clean water? Is farming that does not pollute water even possible?
I needn't remind you that Oklahoma is a stronghold for climate change deniers like Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe. But Oklahoma could be poised to redeem itself, taking on the unsustainability of industrial agriculture.
