A. H. Belo has just announced in an internal memo that some "section editors" (news editors) at all of the company's papers, will now report directly to the corporate team of "sales managers."
Purists have accused the Morning News of breaking down the wall between editorial and sales. Really? The Titanic is sinking, and the journalism dinosaurs are arguing about the proper color of life preservers.
