Sometime around the inauguration of Bush in 2000, I began to notice that there was not the slightest hint of outrage expressed in or by the media.
Answer: Everyone In the name of full disclosure, we will admit that we enjoy watching trashy reality shows as much as the next girls. We'd call it a...
A lot of very savvy song choices, some major stumbles from front-runners (by which I mean the people whose initials aren't D and A, since we're talking front-runners for second place) and my girl Syesha is in trouble.
Here is the third annual (highly subjective, highly varied) list of the year's fascinating solo women.
I am ready to take a look at the map and do some electoral math. Now, we're still pretty far out from Election Day, but we've got to start somewhere.
Our media is shaped by the content of our culture, so how do we account for this coarsening of our culture, this growth of Shame TV?

Ryan Seacrest said we had been waiting for it with bated breath. But it wasn't the Top 12 he was referring to -- it was the set.
Even though the talent this year has been outstanding, I think all of America has known since the Top 24, that the finals would come down to David versus David.
Too many readers are concerned about prestige rather than learning something. EW takes us to new places because the magazine covers only what is new.
He has one southernism down. The next official in high office to go by a boy's name a la Jimmy Carter is Louisiana governor elect Piyush "Bobby" Jindal.
Simon can no longer be dubbed the judge America loves to hate. He's the judge America loves to love because he's blunt and funny and usually right.
Dolly Parton is one of the most talented songwriters in country music history, has a sensational voice and has recorded more great albums than you can shake a stick at.
Signposts pointing to a more truthful way of life pop up in the Rockies where I least expect them. For instance: in an email from Netflix last week. "We're sorry," the subject line said.
My apologies to Mariah Carey. I thought she would be a disaster as a coach and that a week devoted to her songs would be a mountain of melisma overload.

While Archuleta did have a fine final show, voting fans got it correct in that David Cook was the true star of the entire season. With more range, more versitility, a much more current appreciation of popular music, more maturity, more stage presence and the best performances week in and week out, David Cook deserved to win. Can't wait for him to start selling music...
Congratulations, DC, fate had a hand the way it all happened.
The distinction we who do not like this sort of show fail to make is we've nothing against the artists. They are indeed most talented. This said I will follow the many recommendations posted and avoid such pieces and what which star's baby looks like as it is not nice to spoil your good time. You have my apologies.
Hillary is divisive enough.
To all who come on this board only to complain that others are posting comments on such an absurd topic as entertainment...the rational response would be, " why are you here"? Look...I live, sleep, breathe politics and war till I am near appoplexy.....Doesn't everyone need a break? AI is great entertainment, and an opportunity to showcase talent. Personally, I find David Archuleta to be quite the gifted prodigy. He is absolutely amazing, especially considering his tender age and lack of sophistication. He held up beautifully throughout, and sang his heart out week after week. I will be first in line to buy his CD. I wish him all the success in the world. He has earned it. I hope he signs with a managment firm that will guide him carefully and promote him wisely. He has a gift to share.
SIGH....Now after this momentary break from the mad mad world, back to see what Hillary and McCain are doing...and to check the casualty count in Iraq today. What mother is about to get the worst news of her life??? There is no shortage of bad news. Tragically....
Bad music gives you diabetes, hype gives you cancer.
