Due to Coleman's obstinance, progressives have raised over $140,000 assisting progressive candidates for Congress against the very Republicans whose Party leaders are keeping Coleman's appeals going.

At the very least, Pawlenty's reassuring words are not all that reassuring.

One of the two contributions occurred in the six years leading up to Coleman's 2008 re-election bid -- in other words, it was put toward this very election whose result Coleman is preparing to appeal.
