We live in a culture of violence. Despite awareness campaigns, advocacy groups, and information overload, we continue to accept violence as the norm in this country. We don't consider the big picture until it slaps us in the face. Over and over again.
The bullying by middle school students of Karen Klein, a school bus monitor in upstate New York, captured on video and viewed by millions online, sends a distressing message about the state of civility in our society.
With an "R" rating, the MPAA has essentially decreed that what young people do is not appropriate for young people to see. People need to see this film. We are not doing enough to stop bullying.
