You are a citizen consumer. You participate in the economy every day with your purchases. And you most certainly have a voice. Companies are starting to fear you, and even more importantly, they are starting to take you more fully into account.
I spend a fair amount of my time with young people who go to church and who don't go to church. My experience tells me that they don't choose to engage with unresponsive and inflexible institutions with outdated rules that make no sense.
