A mighty mountain of innuendos has been made to cast Julian Assange as some kind of rapist. As a women's rights advocate, I condemn and abhor rape, but Assange is innocent until proven guilty.

The final OPR report is only the beginning. We still don't know who asked Yoo and Bybee to write these memos, what specific instructions they were given or if they were they pressured to reach a particular conclusion.

It is the responsibility of the United States to investigate allegations of torture. The use of torture should be purged from our system, much like we eradicated slavery.

Powell endorsed Obama and I was moved by his statement, particularly his challenge to Republicans about their demonization of Islam. Despite this, I don't welcome his endorsement.
