Council on Women and Girls

In the midst of a seemingly endless stream of dismal economic news, I saw real reason to be optimistic about the future when Obama established the White House Council on Women and Girls.

The new Council represents a phenomenal opportunity for greater engagement of women in the political process and could become the conduit for a variety of positive programs for women.
