Several parts of this documentary made me bristle with fury. I felt both protective of these helpless victims and angry that the adults in charge were mostly dismissive.
We've hidden behind the idea that "bullies will be bullies" or "they're just kids" for too long. Just because abuse takes place online does not mean that it's any less real, less harmful, or less fatal.
I was pleased to hear that MTV is taking the lead on bringing cyberbullying to their wide audience of young people. Their multi-year initiative, "A Thin Line," is intended to empower youth to stop the spread of digital abuse.
