I can no longer remember how to do long division, but I remember not to do drugs because, starting in second grade, I was subjected to a relentless anti-drug program called "Here's Looking at You, 2000."
By 2001, D.A.R.E. was deemed by none other than the United States Surgeon General, "an ineffective primary prevention program," and lost 80 percent of its federal funding shortly thereafter. Yet D.A.R.E .has kept going.
Although prescription drugs are harmful, they do have a purpose for people who have a reason to take them. This does not include taking Adderall to study for a test. Too much of anything is bad, even if it comes with a prescription.
