Before we collectively start quaking in fear of a government takeover of health care it might make sense to slow down and consider that a fair amount of our health care system already has strong government involvement.
With the de facto passing of the Kennedy's in politics, we have truly reached the end of an era. What comes next, it seems, is an age in which the operative question has changed. It is now: what can America do for me?
We all know, given the chance, a doctor will always talk you into suicide. That's where the money is. Why not forbid doctors from talking to patients at all, just to be safe? Call it the Palin-Grassley Freedom from Information Act.
