Taking a month off from drinking has made me more aware than ever of when and how much alcohol I'm consuming.

Almost twenty years after the fact, I have to ask myself: Did I create a band and forge a career in music because it was a job at which one is pretty much expected to drink?

Hearing so many women's stories has helped me put my own drinking in perspective and develop a healthier relationship with alcohol.

On my next trip to France, I'll not only think twice about taking the wheel after a picnic, but I'll also be blowing into a Breathalyzer to be certain my blood alcohol level is within the legal limit.
